In this video, I will cover LinkedIn Ads Conversion Tracking in 2023. I go over how to track page load conversions and event specific conversions for your LinkedIn Advertising campaigns. In this video, I will use Google Tag Manager to install the LinkedIn Insight Tag and I will use it for the event-specific conversion as well.
Tracking conversions is a critical part of any advertising campaign, and with LinkedIn Ads, it's no exception. Through LinkedIn Ads Conversion Tracking, you can understand how your LinkedIn advertisements contribute to your business goals. Whether you're tracking website visits, form submissions, or any other valuable actions, LinkedIn provides a comprehensive solution. This article will guide you through installing the LinkedIn Insight Tag using Google Tag Manager, tracking page load conversions in LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and tracking LinkedIn Event-Specific Conversions with Google Tag Manager.

First, let's discuss the LinkedIn Insight Tag. It can easily be installed through your Google Tag Manager account.
Now, let's move on to tracking page load conversions in LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Page load conversions track when a LinkedIn member loads a specific page on your website after clicking on your ad. It's beneficial for tracking conversions that occur on thank you or confirmation pages.
To set this up, go to your LinkedIn Campaign Manager and click on "Analyze". Select "Conversion Tracking", then create a new conversion. Name your conversion, select the conversion type (such as "Lead"), and enter the URL of the page you want to track. Choose the attribution settings that suit your business needs, save your changes, and you're ready to track page load conversions.
Finally, let's look at how to track LinkedIn Event-Specific Conversions using Google Tag Manager. This type of tracking is used for conversions that occur as a result of specific actions on your website, like button clicks or form submissions.
With the LinkedIn Insight Tag 2.0, you can enter your Insight Tag ID and your Conversion ID and set it to trigger when someone clicks on a button on your website.

Hello I wanted to reach out to see if you've encountered any discrepancies between website visits and conversions recently, especially when the parameter for measuring with conversion tracking is page load I've been in touch with LinkedIn support, and they claim that everything is functioning as it should. They've suggested that the discrepancies might be due to people not accepting cookies. Do you have any insights or recommendations on how I can ensure we're getting the right number of conversions despite the cookie issue?

It feels like there is a LOT of jumping around here. I'm not suggesting that that isn't necessary because of how Linkedin and Google set things up, but wouldn't a top-down overview at the start be helpful? It's like getting turn-by-turn driving directions but not being told where you're going in the first place. I guess I need to watch it all over again?

Do you have 2 instances of the LinkedIn tag in GTM? one that runs on all page loads and a second for the conversion that runs on click? its not clear in the video

I can't make the trigger happen when the text contains "Book a Call". The page load tigger works fine. Is there any work around regarding the text to trigger the tag?

Hi, great video ! Do you know how to set a dynamic value to purchase conversions ? On what you are showing in 2min40secs the value seems to be static and I don't see the possibility to switch that.
