Oliver... I can see, well, ha, i do see through his wonderful live demonstrations, that this disarming honesty is a fantastic strategy out of the gate for business owners who are savvy at communicating anyway & they WANT more sales... Want more money... But, (genuine question....) does his technique work for the average citizen / home owner? Does it work on the phone only, or also at the door? Or also at a store where people just want to get their rubbish in peace, then someone comes up to them wanting to sell them a fancy pot and pan set, or new television package...? Physicians, hospital managers, lawyers? EXOTIC Cars? Private jets/ yachts / helicopters/ apartment BUILDINGS? Does it work for situations not as sexy (equipping a business owner with the ability to get way more money and conversions is a sexy concept for them to be pitched) - that's what they hunger for in life - it's half, if not all of what they think about daily... Vs Sara Blakely selling encylopedias... Nothing sexy about encyclopedias 😅. For Business to business... He's got appointment setting via phone, and i imagine closing, nailed 👌💪.

During the call when asked where you are calling from you replied 'its just myself'. If you are calling from a company would you reply with the company name or still provide the same answer?

I cold prospect for a business under contract so I use this line and it works well. Chances are if you get through to the business owner and you tell them it's a sales call that they already know you're offering a product/services and 9/10 times that product or service comes from a business so I wouldn't sweat it. Main goal with a GK is to get past them. Don't overcomplicate it.

No he wouldn’t recommend that as you’ve given all the power away stating where you’re calling from. The gate keeper will tell the boss it’s a sales call and you won’t get through.
