Love this one. Hits way harder than Lost for exaple because it actually features Chester himself singing this song only a few momens before ... It also has the purest LP DNA. Playful melodies with layers slowly adding one by one to the most complex around the bridge and final chorus to a complete cease fire at the end highlighting those final notes sung by Chester. Meaningful, powerful, sung by one of the greatest. What can I say. 💯

Forgive me if I'm wrong about what you meant, but at 3:00, it sounds like your definition of 'friendly fire' comes from a particular video game context, where if you accidentally(or trolling) shoot a teammate, in a lot of games, there is no damage because it's 'friendly fire' but it can cause a brief fright. In truth, friendly fire is a far older term from combat and is entirely lethal. Friendly fire is an incidence of accidentally shooting at friendly forces. A simple example; in the 'fog of war' it is very difficult to know where all your friendly forces are and you can shoot at the enemy not knowing that you have allies positioned behind them. Friendly fire is one of the many 'horrors if war.' Side note: if shooting an ally is known to be intentional it is typically referred to as 'fratricide', which means the killing of a brother. In games such as Valorant friendly fire is considered to be 'off.' That is, you can't accidentally(or intentionally) damage or frag your teammates. In CS:GO, for another example, friendly fire is off in normal games, and on in ranked games. If it was on in normal games there would likely be a lot of grief from random people trolling. Of course, I think you still understand the meaning of the song. I believe the line "It's just friendly fire" is a reminder that there are no enemies here, any fighting is just friendly fire. Supporting lines; "I was supposed to protect you", "What are we fighting for?", "We're pulling apart for no reason", etc.

Normally, I would find an artist in a similar genre for recommendation of a different artist but effectively no one is like my suggestion. It is time for something completely different, Monty Python. Monty Python has a respectable music lineup. For its connection to our country's current political situation, I suggest "Every Sperm is Sacred." I have really eclectic taste in music, but Linkin Park’s music never moved me. They sounded like suburbsn guys just putting in the work, going through the motions.
