What I love so much about this song's lyrics is how, even though it speaks of feeling alone, "the way everyone is looking at me", and finding somewhere to belong, it also turns the attention inward. It recognizes that what's broken inside needs fixing, at least in part, before you can really belong. And I think that's very true in a way. I'm finding myself more and more aware of just how little I actually dare be vulnerable with people, even while being someone who overshares their issues at times, and that keeps me from connecting more deeply with people, and really feel like I belong. I'm still trying to make myself small, deeply afraid of being annoying or a bother, just waiting for people to realise I'm not worth it. And even though I'm ready to hear all their problems and try to help them, or just listen, I'm still at arms lenght because I don't reach out the other way to them. And that's not being selfless or anything, that's just a defense and it hurts my relationships, it hurts the people who love me, and it prevents me from feeling at peace with my people and place in the world. Thank you for another reaction to a beautiful song, plenty of good stuff yet to come!

This album came out in March 2003 and Hybrid Theory came out on October 24 2000. It was 2 and half years between the 2 albums. This was the first single from Meteora. The music video was filmed and released in 2003. Joe Hahn is the director for this music video. This music video was filmed in Las Angeles CA at a film studio. You can watch the behind the scenes for this music video on thier KZbin channel. Chester changed his hair color and style quite often when ever he got tried of the color or style. He at one point had a lip ring but took it out in 2002. There is one album that you have skipped which is the remix album called Reanimation. Reanimation is the remix of Hybrid Theory. It came out on July 30 2002.

Yes, one of my favourites from the album. When I was younger and my favourite band was Linkin Park my favourite album was Meteora but then as I got older I prefered Hybrid Theory and now I'm 29 I need to re-assess which one I like more haha but they are both such amazing albums it's hard to choose!

Meteora came out in 2003. So the gap is about 2-3 years. Though I cant say when they were filming the music video. The songs were released earlier because I saw them get an award with this song playing in 2002 on MTV.

@@SephPlays Good thing is the album gets better. Easier To Run, Breaking The Habit, From The Inside, Lying From You, Faint and Figure 9 are the ones to keep an eye on. If you end up loving Hit The Floor and Nobody's Listening you will end up loving the whole album. There is legit not one song in this album that is bad. I would suggest skipping session because it is like Cure For The Itch. It just serves as a halftime break. After Meteora it will be fun to see a Minutes To Midnight reaction. I am 100% sure the change will blow you away as the band always evolved.

Seph, have you ever done karaoke? Are there any pubs that have karaoke nights near you? Have you considered having a buddy record you performing karaoke to some of your favorite songs and posting them to your channel? I know you often say you can't sing ("I bring out the dogs"), but I think you have a really lovely singing voice. I bet a few karaoke performances would not only be warmly received, but would also be really fun to do. You'd be a total natural.

Thinking about it.. I have never actually ever sang infront of someone before 😅 only people who have ever heard my voice are people who watch my videos. I've also never sang a song from beginning to end neither. I think this might be because when I was about 9 i was told by a few people "Friends and family" that my talking voice was pretty crap and that means my singing voice would be worse. So I shouldn't pursue anything voice related. Did you have a similar experience growing up Brad? People telling you not to pursue something?

@@SephPlays First, I absolutely love your voice, both speaking and singing. And didn't we all have goofy voices when we were 9? It's a shame that you were ridiculed. It's one of your strengths and is in part what makes your reaction videos so enjoyable and entertaining. As far as similar experiences, I don't think my father was super keen on my pursuit of playing the synthesizer, but I was never discouraged. I think it was more of a financial concern. Those things were darn expensive and he was and still is very fiscally conservative.

This song is more of their raprock songs not nu metal. It's also one of my favourite songs. LP got me into rap rock and bu metal. Looking forward to more of your reaction vids. I'd like to see your reaction to their live performances of high voltage 2001 and the little things give you away oeiras alive 2007.
