Man, what a song. I remember "performing" this in front of mom and grandma when I was in elementary school. Here I sit, 23 years old, 3:30 in the morning, missing both of them and reminiscing on good times. Thank you LP for such a great memory. Back then, I never knew I'd come back to this song years later as an adult; I never knew this song's lyrics would hit so close to home down the line. Oh to go back to the days where I simply jammed to this, mom and Mimi watching me rock. Life has turned to a constant struggle but we keep pushing through. Linkin park saved me. I’m 32. Hybrid Theory was my first CD. My grandmother took me to buy a CD for my new cd player and it was this. I grew up with them. As I got older, there music has been there for me in some very dark moments. This band has kept me sane during my divorce, I miss them.

What a time the early 2000s and the music from LP were for me. I remeber when I came into puberty, the strange feelings and the confusion, the first time lovesickness. I spent the summers at the house of my great-grandmother, watching MTV and hearing LP all day. The death of Chester is like if something from my younger days died. This music and his singing will always remind me of this wonderful summerdays back then and the love of my great-grandmother. May they both rest in peace.

I loved Linkin Park as a kid, I never understood their songs but I knew it made me feel good, like I could let go whenever Chester busted out screaming. Now as an adult, I realised why I resonated so much with their music. I was hurting so much as a child and still am today. RIP Chester 🖤

I had a night shift maybe 7-8 month ago. I always adored Linkin Park, one of my favourites all time, but I didn't play them in "usual" days. And the "Hybrid Theory" popped up in recommended videos. I just listened and pay attention to the lyrics, and here I am, 30+ years old, and finally I UNDERSTAND... R.I.P. to the Legend, and bless his heart!

I still see my 13 year old self in the middle of the night in that hotel, still awake because departure was only a few hours away, watching some music television and suddenly this crazy song was aired. I couldn't believe my eyes and ears and my love for Linkin Park was ignited. Just awesome.

I went through abuse growing up and took on a role as a caretaker. I had a lot of anger in myself dealing with all of this and had almost no friends. Chester gave me a place to belong, he gave me a home and a community when I felt like I never had one. I can't thank you enough Chester for all that you've done. Know that I love you buddy, we all do. You've never met me but you have impacted my life substantially. Thank you for being, I will never forget you. You will always have a place in my heart

I used to be so cheerful too when I was young, eventhough I had issues with my parents, but now I just can't be as positive as I am b4, it's hard to face all these problems by myself cuz I can't really rely on others including my family members, true friends r too hard 2 find, so now I prefer being alone, of course I can socialise but I just think I'm better off alone, i always get bullied too cuz i'm eccentric, but i never lose faith & still believe in god, lp is one of my best cures, tq chester i'm truly grateful 2 u, just like how nick vujicic motivated me, u also brings light in my life

so true one of the voices of my childhood, only saw them a few weeks ago, weird to think that was the first and only time I was ever see the whole of Linkin Park. Chesters voice just perfectly matched teenage anger and I loved shouting in sync plus it pissed off my parents back in the days. He'll be missed and Meteora playing on repeat on full volume for the next couple of weeks. RIP
