I'm using this MR9600 as the main node and expanded wifi with 2 velop mx4200 velop.As Linksys advertised that the MR series router can mess with the velop.But in reality,it's not stable.The network drop frequently.And the velop doesn't have internet while the wifi signal is full.It's was like the node didn't receive date from the main MR9600.I have to unplug the MR9600 then plug in again to solve this.What a nuisance! Some say that you should mess the velop with velop nodes only.Do not use the MR series to mess with velop.

Why did Linksys limit bands and mothball the usb ports? Seems like a bad idea for a MSRP $400 router.. which recently is going fro btw $225 - $300.. Prices still need to come down and the features fixed.. Plus 10gigEthernet ports need to be on new ax routers soon!

@DealUnboxing3 жыл бұрын
Are you have any issue?
@derpnerpwerp3 жыл бұрын
@@DealUnboxing well, primarily I said this because I wasn't aware that there was no 160mhz.. but other than that, yes.. just not sure what's an existing problem with my network vs the router. A lot of times my phone stops loading content unless I disconnect from the wifi, let it load with 5g for a bit then switch the wifi back on. Also the router's UI is terrible. It's completely dumbed down with limited features and they make it seem like you need an account to set the thing up. I had been running openwrt on a linkysys wrt3200.. which I really liked, but I was having similar issues with content not loading. I decided to get a new router when I found a repeatable problem that happened consistently: the app Magic Arena for Android simply wouldn't download in-game assets over my wifi. That specific problem resolved with this router though, so that's good. With this router it's very difficult to do any debugging. I can't check bandwidth usage, I can't enable useful logging, etc. With openwrt I could do all of that and I could even SSH into the router and run tcpdump to monitor traffic with wireshark

@@derpnerpwerp don't know if this will help now, but I checked my power supplies and they were both not rated for the router due to buying it used. Idk if this will help but it did me wonders on both of my set ups
