I could make a whole video on all the times LMG has misrepresented AMD stock coolers in the past 5 years, including disparaging remarks about the athlon cooler that they don't even have and dismissed as insufficient for a 3000G so they used the stealth they had lying around instead. Any time they use a CPU that comes with a stealth they inexplicably pull out a spire or max or prism and claim its the stock cooler. This is one example of thousands. The kinds of things they get wrong are so egregious and elementary people have gotten banned from the r/PCMR discord server for less. The terrible quality of information has been a plague to the entire techtuber space.

In fairness, LMG isn't alone, many KZbinrs think AMD stock coolers are excellent, and that is true of the wraith max and I suspect the wraith spire with its copper slug and taller profile will keep a 5600 under 90 at full load but the wraith spire has disappeared and the wraith max only comes with r7 CPUs, the r5 5600 is stuck with the wraith stealth which when stock will leave you at 95c under full load. The stealth is fine for a 3200g or other quad core AM4, but it is not suitable for 6 core chips

@@burnzy3210 He wasn't even talking badly, it could have been worded better but the point he was trying to make was the LAB is meant to test tons of brand new hardware off the shelves that you and I would purchase, not used and not cherry picked from manufacturers. The lab itself is still in the works. The whole point is to have specialized people in their respective fields testing all this hardware to make sure it does what they say it's supposed to under the various operating conditions and see how consistent various GPU's of the same model for instance to compared to each other. I don't see how this is so difficult for people to understand other than the whole hive mind mentality of some man baby taking offense to nothing and talking shit about LMG as a whole and people need to feel apart of something and jump in on it. LMG can and will do better, they are rapidly growing and trying to do too much at one time, shit happens. Imagine that, both Linus and Steve are people too.

Those robotic arms literally make no sense for testing consumer electronics. I'm pretty sure these guys are not trained engineers with degrees in electrical engineering or testing procedures. Using those robots is not the same as running a performance test on a PC whose testing software was developed by Performance Testing Engineers.

Its insane seeing how large all of this became, when you're one of the people who already watched them in the I think it was called langley House. Good old times with the whole-room-watercooling which didn't work out and similar stuff. I also remember them going insane about the I think it was dual 18-core render server, which also didn't work well as Adobe Stuff (at least back then) didn't really use more than four cores, and at some point this thing was seen in a video laying on the floor and people nearly tripping over that. And don't forget the HDD archive on the bathroom sink.

Seems they have forked out a shed full of cash on all the testing equipment without coming up with proper testing procedures. Retesting every item when a new item is released seems like a massive waste of time/effort and open to error

this testing doesnt even make sense. It doesnt matter if some keys are harder to push than others, and the latency on a wireless mouse can literally not even be that high and still be useable at all. It seems more like their testing procedures are wrong and the mouse is actually malfunctioning because its surrounded by a bunch of robots outputting a ton a of TF interference. At least get people who have electrical engineering degrees who understand robotics and testing procedures and not just some people who spent some time building PC's. Those robots make no sense for testing consumer electronics.
