I literally forgot about how I assembled my pc days after watching this video. My initial config was recommended to me with an rtx2070, but then I saw the prices. It was literally 70 or so dollars more to get a 3070. So I asked my dad for a loan of 70 bucks and went with it. I'm glad I did that, within 2 weeks the suppliers were out and luckily in my neck of the woods I had mine reserved on a down payment for the part. I did get the gigabyte OC edition with 3 fans. So it runs very cool. I barely crack 60 degrees at most ultra settings AAA titles, and also my rendering work had gotten very very fast from my old laptop running a 1050.

You either can buy used cards (which are still too expensive, like gtx 1080 for 400-500€) or buy extremly overpriced new cards. Like even the rx 5700xt costs like 600€ new. Adding to that, games on consoles are usually more expensive with less frequent sales (e.g. Steam Summer Sale) and you can easily be off cheaper on PC than on console in the long term.

I think it was a real stinker that Nvidia spent all that time creating an new, different and optimised cooling solution... and didn't share the design. 55% more airflow, 30% more efficient, 3 times quieter... and they kept that to themselves, that handicapped their partners having to come up with solutions to match that with existing hardware in little to no time.
