Before Toys R Us there was Kiddie City. Many a hot wheels and Transformers Ingor for Christmas from that store. Every Sunday inquire newspaper had a Kiddie City paper with toys in it In Philly center city back in the 80s. I want to go back to 80s 😢

We had a large location in New York that opened in 1988 when I was 17.

Nice tribute. There was a Lionel's Playworld in Mesa, Arizona in the 80's. It was my favorite store for video games until it closed. A real shame it lost out to the inferior Toys R Us. Kids today will never know the joy of going into one of these super toy stores.

We had a Play World in my hometown of Leavenworth Kansas. Up until the late ‘70’s some time. That and Duckworth’s discount store were great places to wander around in for a kid.

Very cool tribute to that store, I would love to have loaded up on the Mego Batman toys for that price. I don't remember seeing that store in NJ only Childs World, Toys r Us and Meyers & Kay-Bee. Great memories and I enjoy your channel very much,
