I just had a thought and I'm sure many people would agree. Years who when KZbin just became popular especially with beauty gurus, it was all about make up collections and now it's all about minimalism and decluttering! I love it :) I started watching KZbin at the end of 2008 and thought I needed to spend all this money to build up my collection yet never get to use any of the make up. I'd watch collection videos and it was fun to watch and still is, BUT I love now how everyone enjoys decluttering and only keeping products that spark joy. Stop wasting money on make up you'll never use! I find it more exciting to see how much stuff I can get rid of and then not bring more into my home :)

OMG when I look through all my lipsticks I am amazed at how many mauve/brownish pink colors I have. Clearly my go to! Yes I have a red, and I have a sheer plum color but now when I look at potential lip purchases I'm trying to find something new! Looking forward to more of your declutter!

A very comfortable matte I've gotten is Lorac's Alter Ego lipstick. As long as you exfoliate and moisturize before putting it on, blot it, and put on a second coat, it wears beautifully, stays on for hours and hours, and doesn't dry out your lips too much.

I love these decluttering videos - I need to do this. I just bought the Katy Kat Matte in Sphinx and am loving it. It's not that horrible drying formula like most other matte lipsticks. I'm loving it. And I, too, have a bunch of shades that are almost the same as a bunch of others. I guess we all have a lipstick drawer like this - I feel better now!!

I haven't seen your decluttering videos before, but what do you do with the items you declutter? Do you give them to others, or do you throw them away? Seems like a great waste to me to throw away brand new lipsticks, or even slightly used ones, when they can indeed be sterilized. :)

I bought the UD vice metallic lipstick in Peyote.....its a pinkish nude. I put a teensy weensy bit of gloss on top and I love it. I don't think its too in your face metallic. I think they only sell this shade at Ulta.

Noelia Gutierrez So true! For awhile I would put multiple lipsticks in my purse and would switch my lipsticks throughout the day to get more use out of them. So after a few hrs when one wore off, I'd put on another shade, then after another 3-4hrs when that one wore off I'd apply another shade. It made me feel like I was actually getting use out of them. And I'd bring another few shades with me the next day. (These are obviously not long wearing lipsticks.)
