Do you drive your BMW hard like I do? If you do then maintenance is vitally important. I maintain that using quality oil and changing it frequently will result in a better performing engine. In this video I was curious if Liqui Moly's Engine Flush would remove any unwanted engine grime and gunk.
I was surprised that the oil came out so dark given that the oil only had 2-3,000 miles on it. In the white cups, I found that the engine flush oil had substantial amounts of residue clinging to the cup. The fresh oil had to clinging, which I suspect is a condition of the flush. It appears that the flush was able to remove any unwanted metal shavings, gunk, and any other residue that is not important.
While this test is not scientific, the visual data suggests that an engine flush is important, especially on an older engine that is driven to redline everyday.
