Think you're misunderstanding the value that NFTs can provide. Digital tokens are the future for most assets. Take a look at a house deed or a stock. At the moment both are paper assets, it's only natural that these things will transition to digital token assets in the future to provide more liquidity (especially in the case of stocks) for the market. NFT art is a scam though, just like all art.

@@ravenspurplebeats5412 because its more than just owning an image. They are items that are limited in number that you have a way of confirming how many exist and and come with an inbuilt method to both confirming your ownership of them and confirming the legitimacy. Take Pokemon cards as an example, each series of these only a certain number of cards are produced, some cards have less of them produced than others thus making them worth more to collectors. The problem is you often don't know how many of a card you own was actually produced and you can't confirm you are the rightful owner of it. And with so many fakes in existence, some that are pretty convincing knowing what you have bought is real can be tough. And many come with much more than just the digital art, some can be redeemed for physical items, others give you access to other things (For example Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have a series of NFT's that get you access to an Adult Cartoon called Stoner Cats that has people like Chris Rock, Jane Fona and Seth Mcfarlane involved it) while others your digital art can then be used in games (much like how your pokemon cards can be). And there are also systems in the works at at least one tech firm that I know of where you buy a central hub in the way you buy a hub for Phillip hue lights which can then be linked to all your NFT wallets and then smart displays in a variety of designs ranging from looking like standard picture frames all the way to digital wallpaper where on the hub you can create custom layouts and assign one or multiple NFT's to each frame and you can then switch the NFT's out at a click of a button. This deals with one of the big complaints of NFT's in that they are just digital images on your phone, it will instead allow them to be displayed just like any physical artwork or collectable and as some NFT's can include motion that then allows you to display something that you can't have via traditional artwork. And they have ideas of extended it to 3D items so rather than buying say a physical collectable figure you could buy a NFT one which you could display like an actual one but unlike with a lot of collectors of things like Funko pops where they reach a point where they can't display them all but switching figures in and out of display could be a hassle it would be a click of a few buttons to freshen up the display. So all in all yes some of these fairly early ones will end up being pretty worthless (but hey if you are buying not just for potential future value gains but also because you like the artwork does that really matter?) its still a new space with some interesting developments happening and more happening every day so its certainly not something to just dismiss

But at the same time I dont feel like he needed to disclose the amount or for that matter the fact he even turned down a the deal in the first place. He did so to act like he is a virtuous person and that his viewers should praise him and in turn donate and subscribe. Which in turn makes him the money he just turned down anyways. Lirik bro, LSF is all streamers doing, without yall it wouldn't exist. It's no different than pulling tweets from someones account, or taking clips from youtubers, etc. I hate when people shit on LSF because it's literally your own doing, you laugh at it, move on. People are gonna hate no matter what, its a principle to being a streamer. Yeah the reddit can be pretty cruel, but it can also be really helpful in ways if people actually took some of the positive things people say during moments that stuff goes down idk. LSF isn't an inherently evil place, it's no different than a YT comment section in a sense. It has good and bad to it, but it will forever coexist with streamers. I just feel like theres a certain manipulative behaviors involved when people do shit wrong but want it to be erased from history like they never did anything at all and no one should have evidence of it, which regardless if LSF exists or not, its still gonna get documented and talked about. So it's just stupid to try and fight against LSF just comes off immature. Also NFT's are entirely a scam, its definitely a way to sell rights to Art, but in the way they are sold, and talked about, they are not an investment future, or anything of the sort. It's just a way for artists to make money for their original art, if they choose to do this path, but its far from how they're being used. I encourage artists to sell their Artwork as NFT's but on the principle that its just buying the ownership of said art, I think it's a great way for people to privately distribute their hard work to people that are interested in it, but if only it was built with that principle in mind and solidified as such. Instead its a wanna-be crypto that people can buy rights to memes and other phony shit as if they'll own the property of said thing and no one else can use it without their permission (kind of like copyright) that then will be sold off to a huger fan, as an investment practice.

0:11 It's called a conflict of interest. EA runs a gambling scheme in many of their games. Trainwrecks sponsors a gambling scheme that isn't EA. That would be a bad business decision to get a big streamer who in effect is employed by a different gambling system to participate in one of yours. Because they are still connected with a competitor. I don't see the problem with disallowing Trainwrecks from playing in an EA tournament. 8:08 NFTs are 100% a scam. There is no system in place to deny an NFT if the CREATOR of the thing having an NFT attached to it does not agree to SELL said item. And no, the creator attaching an NFT first doesn't work because there are bots that will grab NFTs the microsecond something even hints at being online. They can grab that shit while a video is still in the process of being uploaded. I'll bet there is some fool who is running around thinking they own the Mona Lisa, or the Eiffel Tower. Good luck trying to claim that.

NFT's as they are now, are a bit weird. But in time, when content scanning AI gets better, it will be a huge thing. I can forsee that in the future an artist can release an NFT and have a copyright AI add it to the list of banned content without ownership. So only the owner can post it online, if someone else posts it, a copyright AI will strike the service/person who posted it etc. technically cleansing it from the internet. Sure you can still copy it and have it go around, but posting an NFT without ownership will become risky and an AI can purge it from the internet within seconds.

Here's why some streamers hate LSF. They hold them accountable to their bullshit. And when the streamers try to monetize their viewerbase with scams.... well, that's why Lirik pre-emptively threw shots at that community. I enjoy some streamers because they are entertaining. Others because they're extremely good at a game. And others because they introduce me to new games. And I'm totally ok they use their viewerbase numbers and engagement to approach brands so they get paid to promote them. Even if I have no intention of buying that product. At all. Ever. But the moment they try to run an half a million scam, and act all offended that people are pointing it out... and being dismissive of their own chat saying they're not educated enough to talk about the topic if they arent financially invested in it... and twitch touches none of it... it's just fucked up. So before we blame EA for being hypocrites, let's at least hear them out as to why they banned him in the first place, if they want to speak up that is (most likely we will never hear an official statement). Sure, it might be because of Trains gambling streams, and that would make them huge ass hypocrites. In the end, it's their event, and they can ban whoever they want, no matter who, what or why.
