Looks great. Thanks for going over how you figured out the amount of fabric to cut for the borders. For the HST quilt I just kept cutting border pieces, which is why I ended up with some many leftovers. Enough to make another quilt!

I am somewhat of a perfectionist but if my seams do not nest perfect then I tell myself that it is only a quilt. I give them away. If the person says anything then I ask for the quilt back. Needless to say nobody has ever given it back to me. It is only a quilt right.

Happy NewYear April! I want to share a tip about nesting seams. If you can have the top seam allowance going away from you and the bottom seam allowance pointing toward you, you may find more perfect matches. I’m not sure why this works for me but I’ve tested it a lot over the years and it really works for me!

Because of the way feeddogs help or hurt locking seams, they lock better if top points down and bottom points up. I learned this the hard way when some of mine locked better than others.
