from Gerry- I just copied the same type of quilt as this only it had a rail fence instead of a single rectangle. Yours is less sewing so that is the one that I will make. Thanks so much for sharing. Your quilt is beautiful. Be blessed.

Good afternoon there April, Oh how i smiled when seeing that big spotty white fabric, because when i was 14 in 1980 i seen a bright white background multi coloured polka dot that i just loved and we made it in to a rock n' roll skirt for my high school disco. There was me, i thought that there was no one like me, that was until i sat on a rotten plastic chair that ripped an L shape into my beautiful skirt, and i was heartbroken. The skirt then underwent a few cosmetic changes with the addition of a poodle on a lead applicated on to it, so it went back to being wonderful again and no one had a skirt like me. The fact that no one wanted a skirt or anything else that i wore like me goes for absolutely nothing, lol. I just loved the swirly dresses from a time a wee while before i was born, the girls / ladies just looked so pretty in them, and Mum still had her patterns from that period. THere was definitely no one that had such beautiful dresses and i got all the various styles that just weren't around anymore. Thank you April for bringing back one happy memory with your very different fabric and your boxes quilt. Have a lovely day flower and hugs coming across that big pond from Norah, Glenochil, Scotland

If you can cut the selvedges in long pieces, do it. They make ribbons for tying up fabric scraps.

What a great quilt. I love it!. And I have the best fat quarter bundle for this one! Been sitting there for quite awhile waiting to be chosen. Partial seams are not a big deal. Not sure why they scare people. Now curved piecing, that is something to be scared about! Partial seams are just straight seams and you do part now and part later. No big deal! And, by the way, Dove dark chocolate is the best!
