Okay…watched a second time. I really payed attention…and I loveeeeee how your panel quilt turned out! I love love love the way you worked your ombré fabric…such a great idea. The only thing I probably would have done differently was to cut the smashing pieces narrower. Have you ever seen Donna Jordan’s tutorials? She’s from Jordan Fabrics and has a great panel tutorial. I like yours because it’s not quite as fussy as hers but you might want to take a peek if you’ve never seen hers before. Have a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving❣️

I love Donna Jordan. She has inspired many of my projects - she does a great job and has wonderful suggestions. I like big blocks and I cannot lie - lol. My mother looks at these quilts with blocks with teeny tiny little pieces and I say - that is beautiful. No way am I cutting a 1" square. ha ha. I have totally avoided panels because I didn’t have a clue what to do with them that I would like and wouldn’t be the same old same old. This window idea is perfect! There is a place in Fancy Gap right near the NC/VA border that Carrie’s hundreds of panels - it’s time I took a trip up the interstate 77 and see what fun I can find!!!! Thanks so much for a great new idea. I’m going to pass it along to one of my quilt guilds for our charity quilts.

I think I am the queen of mistakes. LOL. I sewed one of the borders twice on the same side. So it was a double border of the yellow with the small flowers. It looked pretty good, but then I remember I didn't have enough fabric to do that all the way around and out came the seam ripper. I could seriously stress test those things for someone. LOL.
