Nancy sure knew how to pour that coffee! It's amazing how some of the actors stayed with the show for 30, 40, or 50+ years. I sure love seeing all of my favorites-Don Hastings, Eileen Fulton, Kathryn Hays, Helen Wagner, Colleen Zenk, and more.

Your comment for me is what turned out to be the downfall of this show. I glanced at a few other CBS soaps from time to time, but what set ATWT apart from them is that this show somehow managed to keep long running actors on the show AND with upfront stories. No matter what year you watched the show still looked and felt like ATWT and you could get right back in. Sure, new characters were constantly introduced but they were done in a way where they didn't become the whole show and our beloved characters we had been watching since when, weren't pushed to the background. All that changed around 2000 and I could no longer bear to watch the show. I would sample it on occasion and it would break my heart to know that the show I had loved for 20 years truly was gone.

Back in the early days when going over something it was always over a cup of coffee but in the laters year however it was replaced by liquor instead of coffee.

Loved the scene with the camera glued to Bob's face as the inane chatter carried on around him. He's wondering if Babs stayed the night with Tom! Ooooooooh!

Thanks. Those scenes at the Willows are chilling. Enjoy seeing all the Hughes family kitchen scenes. I don't know why the show phased those out. They help keep the show balanced.

I read some where years ago that Irna Phillips mulled over replacing Helen Wagner because she didn’t like the way she poured coffee. Watching this I understand better. 😂.

Eileen Fulton (Lisa) was absolutely radiant looking back in the late 70's with the longer hair. The Willows storyline has me sitting on the edge of my chair trying figure out who is behind the mystery. Got to love Nancy and all her coffee pouring. Those were the days

I always liked Bob.The first 2 and a half years I watched this in a very unhappy marriage with my sweet little son. Then I left him after a night he choked me. I raised my son and when he was 18 and I was 38 I met and married my police officer Detective husband.We were married 38 years until he died.I just lost him and now I am watching these soaps again. I had a good marriage and real love.My first husband married 4 times and each wife left him The last wife found out he was seeing prostitutes.At one time he was rich never giving anything to his son while we were poor and I worked several jobs.He lost all his money drank daily and ended with cancer.I ended up with a monthly retirement of 6000.00 of husbands and 3000.00 of mine and social security 2000.00.I guess things do even out in life sadly. I have my son and we live at the top of beautiful mountains.
