Yep, I saw Flo's interview to back up this. Even Michael arranged to flew Lisa with Concorde, while at the same moment, Debbie (whom still married to MJ that time) flew back to US (avoiding the confrontation maybe) using regular flight, british airways. Despite so many side of the stories, and fans splitted between agreement to their romance or rejection, I think they both once truly in love, genuinely care and love each other, but both had their own ego and emotional baggage to deal with. 2 yrs of marriage was long enough for these 2 with every camera locked to their movement that time. Even regular ppl survived two years of marriage is something to celebrate. Watching the bitterness period in Lisa's life about MJ, to me, shown clearly how deeply she was hurt by their separation. And no doubt every feeling reciprocated. They might not suite to be together, but they sure gave true genuine heart to one another.

I'm pretty sure if she was lying, Michael would've spoke up. Michael loved her, which is why in 2005, he cried when he asked if she still loved him and her response was that she was indifferent. That reaction doesn't sound like someone who wasn't in love with somebody and wanted a platonic friendship.
