Your expertise has always been evident to anyone who knows the first thing about makeup, but your willingness to share it even from the early days of the online beauty community, your humbleness despite an incredible career and the way you show people how to use what they have at home, even now you have your own brand... @leighannosborne274910 ай бұрын
Same re: mouth redness. I also have pigmentation around my lips from acne that is difficult to cover!
@leapintothewild9 ай бұрын
Yes! I'm allergic to every toothpaste I try, so my skin at the corners of my mouth are usually red, so it looks like I have sloppy lipstick. And it's usually a bit dry, so if I use moisturizer there I actually DO end up with sloppy lipstick that bleeds, even past a pencil line. Frustrating!
@gagav89 ай бұрын
@@leapintothewildTry vitamin B ointment and also take vitamin B and iron supplements. The problem you describe is in most cases not allergy related. An allergy to toothpaste strong enough to cause braking of the skin around the mouth would likely have really dangerous effects inside the mouth. It's likely that the toothpaste is just irritating the skin/accelerating the cheilosis problem you have. If vitamin B doesn't help within a few weeks, consult a dermatologist, it often gets infected. Hope this helps because there's no make up that can cover such issue without wearing out plus covering it daily might actually contribute to the problem.

Hi Lisa! THANK YOU!!!This video has completely changed my life!!! The tip that you give about mixing the moisturizer with the foundation has been a life changer! Let me tell you why.... I suffer from rosacea with acne, and I was doing what you said people in my case do! That is, use a super thick foundation all over my face to cover what I thought to be 90% of my face that had skin issues! After mixing my Nars soft matte complete foundation with my moisturizer and then just going back to the problem areas that resurfaced after the 1st layer.... WOW! I have amazing healthy glowing skin!!! AND it lasts ALL day without retouch!!! I used to end my day with creases and lines from the cakiness of the full coverage, and today I am super impressed that after almost 12 hours (I worked today) my makeup still looks flawless and I am not dying to get home to take it off!!! You have made me believe in Magic again and that I can enjoy beautiful radiant skin as when I was 20! I am about to turn 46 in March! THANK YOU again!!! You are really amazing and know that you have changed my life ♥️ Sincerely and with lots of love, Monica From Miami, FL USA

I've been doing makeup for over 20 years, now specialise in over 50 folks, thought I'd seen it all -- but I learned a couple things. That double tight-lining of the eyes is awesome. Be sure to take her seriously with the waterproof on the bottom; otherwise it will just leach right into your eyes. I also find if I have hair skin/light eyes you can get a mostly the same effect using brown, grey, dark taupe or even a dark olive liner on three top, like UD's 24/7 eyeliner Stash. It's just a bit easier to keep it from looking heavy, as black can be -- especially if you're used to doing standard, visible eyeliner.

Lisa! I found an amazing combo of two of your lipsticks to create a mixture to look like no-makeup lip color that matches my particular neutral-leaning-cool undertone. I can have hauled myself reluctantly out of bed and be dreading work, then just a quick shower, fave work clothes and a small amount of makeup to cover the blemishes and put emphasis on the good bits changes my whole attitude for the better. Wonderful video! Ty. Story: I was out & a woman by me told me how gorgeous my skin looked. I was wearing Babo Botanicals Daily Sheer Mineral Sunscreen SPF50 Natural Zinc & Passion Fruit Oil Golden Hued Tint Ultra Light Fragrance Free ($22 USA) over a tiny amount of Weleda Body Butter (cleaner formula than Skin Food & you save a lot of $) as a moisturizer. That’s all I wore! Many have used the Babo product I used as a primer. For people with oily skin the sunscreen alone is perfect! Wanted to share this bc we all need sunscreen. Extremely natural look. Only thing is it’s meant for fair to light skin. I guess you can use it as a primer if you have darker skin & use your regular foundation. Babo is for sensitive skin. Note: You must shake the sunscreen before applying.

Honestly, seeing my skin without any spots but still looking make-up free somehow was such a massive self esteem boost for my teenage self not to mention that it made my makeup products go sooo much longer as l used a lot less and l could actually splurge on an expensive concealer now and then that was a better shade match.

These are the videos I look forward to! I've adopted the pinpointing concealer technique a long time ago and it's been a complete gamechanger! Thank you for your amazing skills Lisa!

Lovely look! I won't be wearing it today as it's my birthday, so will be going full glam (using your products of course!), but will wear this on a low key day for sure x

Lisa, your pinpoint concealing technique has been a game changer for me and I've been using it for years! I just have trouble pinpoint concealing where I have slight dips in my skin from old acne scars because the skin isn't smooth there. What would you recommend for those areas?

Lisa, I just love your looks and the fact that your approach has always been to have a light hand and look more naturally beautiful. I am going to be a mother of the groom this summer and I will have to do my own makeup for the wedding. I'm a bit nervous, even though I have learned so much from you over the years. I know you did a tutorial about 7 years ago on mother of the bride. I was wondering if you would consider doing another video like that one. The tips are still so helpful from that video, but perhaps one using some of your products and any updated recommendations would be so lovely. Love your videos and products so much ♥

The queen of skin makeup. What I feel makes a big difference for me aswell is: 1. just a tiny bit of color correcting with a concealer just slightly more orangey for the undereyes, or slightly darker for pimples (can also be used to "contour" the pimples away afterwards as Lisa taught us) before the actual concealing; 2. and then kind of add any faded beauty marks back in with a brown pencil, aswell as turn any visible pimples into new beauty marks like Desi Perkins did in one video.

Hi Lisa! I’ve loved your videos for years now! Do you think you would ever do an advice video for expecting moms? Makeup/skincare tips for your changing skin. Best products? Thank you so much!!!

I have 3 lipsticks that I only can wear if I mix them with others because they are too light for my lips and they don't look good. Now I know I can use them as blush! And they are very pretty blush colors too. Two rosy beiges and a coral

I love Erborian CC red correct for this kind of look! My skin is mostly even, I just get some random redness around my nose, chin and between my eyes. The green in this cc cream neutralises the red but doesn’t make the skin dull. It’s just enough green. My only wish is that they’d release it without fragrance because my eye area is really sensitive to fragrances.

Your manicure looks so good! That colour is perfect, I also like that lacquer shine that it has.

Dear Ms Eldridge thank you for this tutorial, it is gorgeous! I wonder if you might give us a video about what every proper dressing table requires to get the job done? I do get confused with which brush, how do i maintain them properly and what other tools you keep around. Which mirror, proper light etc. Im an old gal used to stage makeup of the last century, lol, it was awesome but Im ready to embrace all these lovely new strategies.

Another absolutely mesmerizing tutorial, it’s so special to watch you and still get so excited and inspired, for so many years already! Also love that this one is not all about products but about technique, we need more of this. So many make-up “tutorials” just hype products and have no in-depth love and knowledge about colours, textures and techniques. You are so different, and SO so so good at what you do. ❤

I discovered your channel a long long time ago and have ever since loved your technique and style of enhancing my features rather than trying to change them. You have always been a mentor for me and I am probably your biggest fan. Some day I hope I can shake your hand and give you a hug for teaching me the skills to feel beautiful ❤❤

Waterproof mascara on a brush as tightliner!!! Why haven’t I thought of that! Tight lining is my nightmare as I really need it but nothing I have tried stays put. Can’t wait to try this. ❤
