I would agree that Europe should do more and is not taking this situation seriously enough. That said, as the other commenter said, Europe has already contributed more than the states. The reason we Europeans often talk about the US is because economically they are equivalent to our entire continent. Not only that, but they hold military command of NATO and have previously RESTRICTED what we are allowed to provide to Ukraine.

Many of my favourite actors, writers and musicians are from the US. I have absorbed the culture my entire life (good and bad). There is no way I'd sit and watch the USA fight alone. Obviously I am not a soldier but have family in the military that have worked alongside US soldiers. I'm well-read in history and know how bad the world would be without the US. I'd probably say the US is the #1 country I'd defend without batting an eyelid.
