Mobius 1 I feel like with a lot of the Ace Combat Missions, there's supposed to be more friendly aircraft and units than there actually is due to hardware limitations. One of the better examples I have is during the Scinfaxi mission, when Wardog Squadron climbs above 5000 feet and the SLBM explodes, your squadron reacts to as if several 20-30 pilots were just shot down at once by the explosion, but when you look down through the smoke and debris, all you see is like 2-3 friendly icons. So I think the game tries to imply greater friendly presence than it actually shows in most missions

Ze German Fox well if we look at AC6 you can actually see that there is an actual friendly force with you unlike older games. Although I felt like the atmosphere for those missions lost their touch of dialogue (Just a little).

@@ZeGermanFox the reason why Ace Combat 4 was able to do such a large Landing it's because they were using to draw distance with the fog that's why when you flew away the enemy icons and friendly icons disappeared in the new one showed up on a different Beach think Silent Hill PS1 Ace Combat 5 however was more linear and due to the new engine and graphics having a full ground battles would have put a strain on the hardware keep in mind this is not the only mission considering you still have 2 jilachi Desert missions and Fortress mission it was not possible Ace Combat Zero also suffers from this because if uses the same principal as Ace Combat 5 but they were trying to shove in Ace Combat 4

First Flight is the song from all the trailers and such, but Lit Fuse will always be the first song that comes to mind when I think of this game. 16 years later and this still pops into my head from time to time.

It's sooooo good. That 3/4 time signature is really perfect for close air support, too, capturing the feeling of languidly wheeling around up in the sky protecting your comrades on the ground, ready to swoop in whenever they call for an airstrike or you see someone threatening them. I often put it on in the background while flying the A-10C in DCS World and it really does make it feel like Ace Combat with more buttons.
