It wasn't just "a warehouse", it was an Amazon warehouse.I'm surprised these Amazon fires haven't happened more often. From what I heard, boxes get moved through the warehouse as quickly as possible and packages get thrown around as a result. The goal of managers is to move as many packages down the line as possible.

Its mentioned in vid these were lithium ion small TOOL batteries, like saws, lawnmowers, hedgers, etc . WOW. So many people own small tools run by these.

@maestrovso I recently bought an electrc lawn mower, but it plugs into elecricity to run. No battery. I got used to annoying power chord being dragged around. Looking at all the dead unchargeable batteries in my garage, im done with that.

Working at a landfill we end up with fires all the time caused from batteries that uneducated people throw in the garbage. Had 1 of our operators almost lose his head when he noticed smoke, grabbed the battery to put it in the containment barrel and it blew up just as he put the lid on.😢

My concern is all that black smoke releasing toxins in the air. The water used on the fire going into the ground. Do we need to remediate the area? Is it safe for wildlife and lakes? To me this is an enviorental disaster waiting to happen.

3:36 - Looks like a forklift that may have pierced an Amazon box? My initial thought was that it was a warehouse associated with Amazon shipping in some way. There are a lot of bootleg batteries being sold online. 5:56 Regardless, you're going to have a bad time if you bulk your hazmat items together and don't handle them correctly.
