4:14 just a quick note regarding the Ash here: Normally in TCG regions you could have chainblocked here to make Ash unable to be used at this spot, but most simulators are set to the OCG rules by default where the interaction works just like in the video. But you can change that in your duel settings and you probably should if you want to test online for the TCG format.

@@otangakudyokeman7124 basically the whole thing where the TCG gets to basically close off trigger effects to direct responses is not possible like it is in the TCG. If you get an effect to special summon from deck as chain link 1 and an effect to special summon from hand as chain link 2, in the TCG Ash Blossom cannot be used as she has to chain directly to an effect that meets her criteria. In the OCG your opponent can just chain to your trigger effect that fits the criteria instead and then you can chain the other trigger effect on top of that, if it doesn't miss timing that is. Also, this doesn't hold true for mandatory effects if I remember correctly. But this is just the gist of how that works in the OCG though. That is because in the OCG quick effects from private locations, in this case the hand, are not quick effects like they are in the TCG, they are ruled as "fast effects".

Hey Lith at @8:50 you just bluff EP, but after they used the VS link, you can just go BP and crash Aruha into burger. Then on damage step (so no Ash) you can summon Abo to pop TCBOO by discarding Blue then run over burger. In MP2 you have the first action as the turn player so you can NS Sarama and "force" Valius by going Yama since both of their monsters use destruction as the removal. If they pop Sarama, Rakea can float back into it so that you set Escape, but you have big Red/Blue access for Caesar (incredibly tough for VS to out) while also if you burn Yama's GY effect you can also end on Rage (giving up on Chamber) Personally i never had issues against floodgates with Unchained, bouncy stuff like the Lyrilusc rank1 used to be WAY more threatening.

Didn’t even know about the Caesar combo our deck list are almost identical except I’m using prerelease support and play extravagance wasn’t playing underworld reporter there link two makes up for that only maybe if you want protection oh and I’m playing one wailing and only one blue twin the wailing helps facilitate otks in a pinch even though it’s a very average card atm

wouldnt you have just been able to crash aruha to summon abominable soul to pitch blue dog to pop there can be only one summoning sarama effect of blue dog popping sarama sarama summon dog dog link or attempt to link if still 2 mats make king yama? i mean its playable for sure unless i waws missing something you could still attempt to dismantle board and make wave king? or am i missing something?

that's exactly what i commented as well, too bad i didn't read your comment before that. There was nothing stopping Lith, even with us knowing Ash is in hand, Aruha triggers in damage step so she can't activate while both Razen and Valius have destruction removal meaning Yama was inevitable. Kurikara would have eaten Caesar after 1 negate but still i don't believe VS would have played through Rage/Caesar (1)/Escape with an empty board. Also note to not use Caesar on Stake your Soul and just hit their monsters.

The tour guide+rhino warrior is the way to go in my opinion. Strong 1 card combo that ridges to your main engine unlike the evil twin version

Honestly I’ve tried it, and I prefer the pure versions (both going first and going second variations). Evil Eye negates are nice, but it feels way more fragile. High rush high reward

@@tsynthetic that’s so weird, because evil eye offers the exact opposite, it offer’s recursive engines that unchained initiate. Evil eye domain adds back evil eye monsters from your grave on destruction, and unchained links add back any fiend from grave on destruction. Evil eye also provides destruction effects on your turn for cost. So combining the two generates net positive recursive engines. Not sure your fully understanding the interactions

​@elias1579 in the current meta, Finishing the Game Fast trumpts Vitality. Unless you can also summon High Wave King Ceasar on that Variant, you better off going pure. I'll admit i am not that familiar with evil eye, but pure unchained with the new Unchained Souls are more resilient against interruptions.

@@elias1579 the field spell interaction was pretty cool, and I do understand what you mean about recursion. My issue with that variant lies in how much engine you’re playing, and how little non-engine you get to play. Maybe I’ll have to check it out again though

@@bryanmerel no, Unchained Evil is far better than either archetype are alone. In my opinion they’re one archetype. The interactions are so layered and many. These archetypes were made with each other in mind.
