I also love how this is Little Comets' answer to Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" in which they expose the media for its objectification. Hard-hitting stuff as usual, Comets. And with the same excellent quality we can always expect.

Little Comets sing about such important issues when other bands are too scared to, I love them so much for that.

This song is absolutely amazing. Little Comets never fails to have intellectually stimulating lyrics that really make you think about relevant cultural issues and the song's deeper meaning. They're like the only band that actually addresses how misogynistic the music industry is today. And on top of that their sound is so pure and creates such a nice vibe. I'm loving the way they've been evolving as a band. They're so underrated.
@slushailish355310 жыл бұрын
this song is excellent, as all little comets songs are, in balancing metaphor with showing the song's meaning! while not too blunt to seem un-artful, the song certainly doesn't leave anyone confused, or taking it differently than its intended meaning! and its lyrical meaning, paired excellently with the musical feel of the song, is one very necessary in current society

There is always that one song that comes along and leaves you sleepless. It makes you think about the bigger picture and what you can do to change not only the world, but yourself. This is one of those songs. Powerful.

Not everyday you come across a song as carefully composed and lyrically sublime as this. Comets, you've only gone and put the beauty back... so thank you.

This band write songs without fear of repercussions and its totally refreshing. Music is about emotion and I don't think there are a band out there that are more emotive than this lot. Plus they were flipping fantastic live at Bham :P

*Lyrics:* The Blur, the Line and the Thickest of Onions Feel good for a minute then implode As the lack of an aphorism sticks in your throat with ire Depose your vernacular, argot Why have pride in a lyric when all the other songs go - It’s a question of rust It’s a question of trust It’s a question of everything you’ve ever been told. Minimum culture, minimal wage I’m an onion peel my layers back Minimum silence, minimal change I’m an honest man, depths my tears lack And if there’s love, let me know Because I want you to come and put the beauty back Blurred vision and the hobble of thick prose Why empower misogyny while violence towards women grows? But this filth stands on a quicker sand Next to cold hard fear and the deeds of man The abuse of body image as a form of control And the typical portrayal of the feminine role I have never been more appalled. Pick me up with rhythms and waveform That can symbolise a culture lost Sing about the future like you mean to I’m never going to count costs Question the agenda of an industry That only can objectify You write about a non-existent blurred line But not about abortion rights

You guys are so tonally versatile. You can switch from jangly pop-indie to almost ambient layered music. And your lyrics are just sublime- you seem to always maintain a level of profundity in your words which is so refreshing to find in indie. I listen to the whole EP, and this tune is the best from this EP one by far. Therefore the atmosphere of this EP is different, i was not expected that from a Little Comets. In an artist live we choose different way, and it's not bad, we make experiment for see if our public will still listening to us, and by reading the comments on youtube it looks like most of your fans like this EP ! Which is great actually :). Btw, for all the haters i didn't say I don't like the EP, I just the atmosphere was different, and I hope Little Comets will not continue in that cold way.
