This is a superb song, and one I have loved for a very long time. Must be one of the greatest songs from the 1950's. My Mother had the 78 rpm single, and we used to play it on an old PHILIPS record player; it will always be a favourite - simple words, great intro, faboulous music and so brilliantly sung. Two minutes of pure joy!

This brings back memories of my childhood in England. In 1960 my stepbrother David bought this record. We had an old fashioned wind up player. The record was a 78, but it wasn't shellac, it was the same plastic as a 45, so seemed incredbly modern to us. We later got a 'Dansette' red and cream record player, which, although having a stylus rather than a needle still played this, one of my favourite ever records. We have had some happy times!

Yes, I'm still a fan! A life-long music lover. Growing up in the late 50's & 60's, started listening to rock 'n roll. Before that, listening to classical and light-classical. Plus some popular music by Nat King Cole, etc. Favorite song's from musical's and ballet [Swan Lake & The Nutcracker, to name a few]. Music lovers, on both sides, of my family. My mom and grandmother, played the piano. Only 'Chopstick's', here...lol. Still have my record collection's of 45 rpm, some 78's, casset's...then some cd's. Once-said...no to cd's, lol. It's in my blood, you could say. As my grandmother collected, 78's. Vinyl albums then...were 33 1/3 rpm. Glad playing record's, became popular...again! Lot's of fun. Keep Well and Best Wishes [from So. CA, USA].
