@@huhhuh364 Yes, those games were great with their HUDs. I'm hoping too. I have just tried VR and one of the coolest things is in some games the hud is on your wrist and you can turn it to see health and stuff. There is a lot of quick menus if you need to see more complex things.

i'm sorry to report that they don't show recent footage all that much because they are probably facing huge problems trying to bring all these concepts alive without allowing the game to suffer from major technical issues and so on. that happens to a lot of AAA games that come from companies with lots of money and resources at their disposal so yea, don't be too optimistic about this one. i've seen gameplay videos from this game and the actual game doesn't look nearly as good as the cinematic videos.

OH. MY. GOD. I remember stumbling upon this game a year ago or so, being mesmerized by it's charm and lovely visuals, thinking how I would love to play it and then... I forgot the name of it. Ever since I was depressed, desperately trying remember thr title and I was driving me mad. And today KZbin just randomly recommended this video and instantly recognized it. Was close to tears tbh. The presentation of this game is gorgeous, the art style, animation, and the UI! It's so clean. :o The gameplay looks really intriguing and unique too, like being chased around by a group of... something... that are riding around on horse/donkey-back throwing bombs at you, it has a great sense of chaos and looks really entertaining. The animations are great for everything, and it all looks quite great when fighting little dudes, but I'm curious how it'll play when fighting the bigger guys. But I mean, none of that even matters anyway, with that pig in the game it's a safe bet LOL. But if you make me eat him I don't think I'll ever recover, he's too precious.

This doesn't seem to be popular here: There's a HUGE drop in quality from trailer to gameplay. 2 minutes in feels like it get swapped by a poor doppelganger. 1. Animation 2. Camerawork 3. LoD Animation in the trailer is beautiful, fluid and smooth. Faces of both foes and protagonist are full of zest and expressivity, they are also well telegraphed and read thanks to good camerawork. Weapons have that viscerality and *contextuality*. You don't draw a sword or swing a rope the same way when crouched vs when standing. The trailer got everything right. The whole point of making a "low poly" game is to ensure everything that's in it is working next to flawlessly. Snap back to gameplay: iterative survival mechanics and environment agnostic animation with a boring wide angle camera. I realize that's a simple solution to present the action, but that takes away life from the presentation and makes the game less engaging and prone to boredom and "task based". I was pumped from the trailer... Now I'm not going to touch this until I see the final result.

What gives me hope with this one is that it has some breath of the wild vibes in terms of how it uses survival and rpg elements, exploring a huge world seemingly at your own whim. The best part too is it doesn't do that thing most botw inspired games do, literally just copy it, like genshin impact copying its aesthetics and core mechanics, and same goes for that new phoenix rising game. This game at least appears to have a unique approach to this kind of game.

Little Nightmares and Limbo both have broken worlds where you play as a child, attempting to escape, unearth the secrets, etc. If anything this is indie breath of the wild because of its’ design.
