LF should have been nominated for their originality alone. Is there a better Funk Band than Little Feat? That is debatable for sure. When you listen and hear jazz and blues and rock you realize LF had their own brand of funk.

they're actually prog rock which is a genre the RNRHF hasn't been too kind too and in the 70s they shifted to being a jazz fusion band after Lowell's death. @@krisscanlon4051

Agree with you Slydog, just like The Band, one of the most under-rated bands this side of Ole Miss. Dixie Chicken, Rock And Roll Doctor and my all time Favorite, Fat Man In The Bathtub. Yuz Tubular took down the best live performance, but Dailymotion has a decent copy.

The original album track pales in comparison to this, as was true for a lot of their music. You could almost feel Lowells' frustration with how the tracks feel recorded vs live in his liner notes.
