When things don't add up, this remarkable team always finds out why. I rescued a neglected thoroughbred who was close to dangerous because she has so many undiagnosed problems due to racing. It took lots of exploring and patience to get the the bottom of what caused her problems, but we got there and she is now healthy, beautiful and the best behaved horse in her herd of retirees. Thank you Horse Plus for always going the extra mile for the animals!

This just shows that his previous owner didn't bother to find out why Little Foot was losing weight.. Instead, they just shipped him off to auction, and thankfully, Horse Plus got this sweet boy and got to the bottom of his problems..and now he has a lovely home with his buddy Drifter..amazing..🇬🇧💕🙏✝️👏👍🐎🐎🇺🇸

It’s nice to hear a good outcome. I haven’t watched for a while. I was actually having bad dreams about the horses. I kept seeing all the horribly sick and injured horses in my sleep. I pray for rescuers. 🙏 It takes a lot of compassion and a very thick skin to keep doing this year after year and keep it together emotionally and mentally. Thank you HPHS for doing what you do to help save horses. ❤🤗

Why do horses get ulcers? My mare suffered with ulcers
@shannonbain28116 ай бұрын
So weird thing is that my dog actually has ulcers in his mouth as well mainly above his teeth or below I guess long story short he’s had to get half his teeth removed and we’re still trying to figure out what is this an internal medicine specialist and dental veterinary group are involvedbecause he also has chronic nose bleeds, which I don’t think the nose blades are the mouth issue issues but still pretty major

Foxtails?
@jff18136 ай бұрын
Foxtails are a type of grass with seeds that can embed themselves in the flesh of an animal and cause infection as they did here.

6:28 youre actually riding that POOR bag of bones, what horses put up with!🤬
@alycewich44726 ай бұрын
Light riding helps a horse put on muscle where there wasn't any. A trip or 2 around a small round pen isn't going to harm him.
@isaT5 ай бұрын
@@alycewich4472 His spine is protruding so much that it probably hurts to bear weight. I think they should have let him gain a little more weight before riding.
@AccidentallyOnPurpose4 ай бұрын
From what it looks it seems he gained a lot of weight before riding. His hips and spine are far less pronounced in the videos of the riding. The adopters probably aren't going to be riding any of them intensively until they are much farther recovered, that was just to get them adopted. Horse plus relies on finding homes fast for horses that are cleared.

Horse racing needs to be banned as well as Sea World and places that use animals for entertainment. Pony rides, buggy rides are others that need to go. Animal abuse abounds at all of these places.
