I love Fran bow universe. Little misfortune was basically a confirmation that the main character of Fran Bow wasn't tripping and actually going to other dimensions and this one explores more in depth about some of the realms.

I love Misfortune so much like she's morbid cuz she knows what life is already like at a young age and the environment she grew up on was just HORRIBLE and with her being so unlucky that just kinda sits with u. Plus she's young enough still that she can see the brighter side of things. Really shows how kids can be and it's just really sad. Girl needs a hug - The ending where the mom removes her mask she was so depressed and scared taking care of her child that at the time she didn't even want. Now with her daughters passing she can now find her own happiness, cuz she originally wanted to abort her but didn't. So her name makes sense. Her little misfortune

I don’t think that’s why she’s happy. It’s very implied throughout the game that she loves her child, but she’s trapped in an abusive marriage for the sake of that child with no way out. Misfortune dying means she’s no longer tied down to that man, especially when you take into account it seems like he was the one who killed her. She can finally divorce him and live another life.

I don't think so. I think the happiness solely comes from whatever magic at the end is happening. She was clearly crying, and it was only after that magic orb goes to her that she seems happy. So it was an artificial happiness because that was Missfortune's last wish

I LOVE this game, its truly a jewel that not enough people talk about. Its from the creators (and connected universe) of Fran Bow, another charmingly terrifying game, but I personally prefer how this one isn't as gorey. Like, in Fran Bow you often had guts falling from the ceiling, which is crazy and i love it, but in this one the dark tone isn't so in your face. Its more layered, and you catch big glimpses of it, but part of the horror falls on realizing how neglected Misfortune has been all her life. I love my little lady💕.
