Unfortunately, the Little River Band that tours the United States today contains NO ORIGINAL MEMBERS. This American band owns the trademark 'Little River Band' and this prevents the original band from performing or touring.

I grew up in a little town on the New South Wales south coast. This was close to my favourite song. I applied for and was accepted into the Air Force as a pilot in 1987. I swore that if I passed the pilot course, which had a traditional pass rate of just 50%, I would come back to my home town, sit down at South Beach with a beer, in my RAAF uniform, with my newly awarded pilot wings, and look out over the beautiful ocean while listening to this song. I did pass. I did sit down at South Beach with a beer, looking out over the ocean listening to Cool Change, whilst contemplating what I'd achieved. I felt bloody good.

I feel your words, this is my song with my dad. Its always been in my eyes, 40 odd years on we go. Dad whistles this song perfect and beautifully. I told hime 20 years ago that this song connected me to him during a drive from the airport while i was home for a visit. Fro. Then on he always whisled what musically played.

I think LRB is one of the most underrated bands of the 70’s-80’s. The way they harmonized wasn’t something you hear much of these days. I kinda think of LRB as one of the first “boy bands”. Cute as hell, can sing, harmonize, and all the ladies loved them! Keep on a rockin’ Glenn.

These guys are every bit as good with their harmony as Don Henley and the Eagles, maybe even better. And I am a very big fan of the Eagles. This song was on the radio when I got my driver's license in November. Right before Christmas break my parents let me miss most of the morning of school so I could drive my brother to Galveston and bring his car back. This song played 3 or r times on that trip.

I will never forgive those imposter yanks pretending to be the real Little River Band over there in the States, depriving the rest of the world, the reunion concert the real LRB wanted to do ... I live in an outback QLD town, named Hughenden, and a few years ago, Glenn Shorrock was the main gig at the Diggers Entertainment Centre here ... The man was nothing less than amazing, his talent at his age was as pure as what we heard back in the day ... Those pretending yanks did us Aussies a massive disservice and us Aussies all need to unite and tell the American public, the LRB they pay to see, are nothing but PRETENDERS and hangeroners ....

@@markberryhill2715Yes, Air Supply, 😆my little sister loved those. But my favourite music bands from Down Under definitely are AC-DC and Men at Work.

@@tutubeas10 you might disagree on these two since you sound like a rocker, but I'm not opposed to some Bee Gees or ONJ. No seventies playlist is complete without something by them. Lol

By far the most underrated band of all time. You can feel the love and passion they had for the music. They didn't do it for fame or fortune. That's what makes them great.

not so sure about that. there have been a lot of underrated bands. I'd put Firefall high on that list. Cinderella.

These guys are right up there with the Eagles as far as harmonizing. Lead vocals right on par with like of Don Henley . They're also very musically talented

I have often joked that every hit song that I can sing along with from the late 70s/early 80s that I don't know who it is by, is by the Little River Band. They had so many great songs across a broad swath of the musical spectrum. Great harmonies, great hooks, great lyrics. Thanks LRB for being the greatest f-ing band that nobody really appreciates enough.

I’ve seen them three times, with this guy, Glen, as the singer. I wouldn’t dare go see the bass player’s stolen version of the band. I’d go see Glen no matter what the band is called.

I sat in the biz end of a QF jet next to Glenn many years ago. The stews were very attentive. I asked him who he was, as a former pom it meant nothing to me at the time....Nice guy, chatted for quite a while on the way to Perth.
