I’ll be honest, I much prefer making videos outside and with all kinds of things going on, but in the winter it can be hard because everything on the farm slows down so much. Thank goodness we’re doing some renovating this winter! 😊

What an awesome find in the gravel pit, such a money saver. This has been a strange growing season everywhere, your herbs are sure enjoying it though. Mine struggled with the heat this summer but are perking up a bit even though it was 93 degrees fahrenheit today. I'm enjoying these come along with me type of videos, they are so helpful and interesting. Thanks for bringing us along!

Gosh, it's so good to spend time with you so much lately ❤️ I love these nice longer type videos that share SOOO much information. You have so much energy! Hi, Dan! Nice seeing you on a video 😁 Maybe if you start making enough KZbin money you can save up for a freeze dryer. That would be really exciting for you AND for us because we would get to see what you would do with it! Have a great evening

Well….looky here, looky here! Farmer Dan has finally made a long awaited appearance🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣I have missed him and he NEEDS to re consider the long long absences, just saying’😉. I’ve been watching, just so busy canning and freezing myself so Hunny and I can survive another winter season with homegrown garden truck which takes me longer because there is only me and my 3 time surgeries back. I do remember the days growing up with 8 other brothers and sisters with many hands making light work but alas I wasn’t quite that fertile…I guess🤪. So I do thank you Chelsea girl for keeping me company during my own fall chores. You know I have to tell you every time you post a vlog with your Bass Pro cap on I think we are going fishing in some Canadian waters somewhere but no so I have come to the conclusion that it’s just head covering for you. I have to admit that I have a few back visits to catch up on prior to garden harvesting but I really miss seeing and hearing about all the livestock, especially the chickens as you may remember. I do see the littles are growing up FAST so I do appreciate how busy you are but IF you could squeeze in a bit of an update I know I would be thrilled☺️. Of course I would love to hear about how life with the Mothers is going as well. You know that all things old is new again and keeping up with all the comings and goings with your family is NEVER old!!! Chelsea girl…l had no idea how pricey the rumpled up geese were when I suggested Sebastopol’s would be a nice addition to your homestead. I had to pop my eyes back in my head when I saw the price on a chicken hatchery AND you could only order 2/year. Holy Moly Christmas cannoli I was taken aback so maybe when my next windfall comes I just might order them myself and have them shipped to LMH and you could train them to come up behind you as you’re vlogging so I can have a peek now and again, ya think? You could also strap a tiny neck camera on them and train them to follow Farmer Dan around and we could get a birds eye view of his busy days as well🥰🥰🥰. Here’s wishing you a good fall season before the change from golds, reds and yellows to white fluff. I see from the length of this comment you probably are glad I’ve been silent so long. I’ll try to learn the fine art of commentary but I’m from the generation of letter writing, in cursive, so this is what I consider a comment because when I write letters they are novellas so 😊

We've been replacing fencing on our farm. I love it, so satisfying. We only just bought the farm toward the end of August. We have just sheep. We do the same thing with our fencing and barbed wire. We also have a quad Honda 4 track. Great video, Chelsea and Dan. 👍

Excellent! So nice to be able to work like that in October. That little spill of gravel that showed itself certainly has rewarded. As I don't have a quad, I have hung miles of barbed wire carrying the roll in front of me and backing up to unroll it...Dan's unroller would be so easy and much easier on the arms and clothing.

I do very much hope that you will get a freeze dryer on day. I would like one too but I also think that it is so expensive. Chelsea, have you tried to fry Salvia leaves in butter or olive oil and when they are crispy they are ready, you only sprinkle a bit of salt over the leaves. And then you eat them as a snack. They taste fantastic that way. All the best to you and your family.

Hard days work guys! Did you know that you can use rasberry leaves for menstruation aches? Just pick the fresh leaves (so next year) and dry them. You can make a tea with it and drink it (with a bit of honey). Helps with the cramps.

Oh my gosh that gravel find holy cow that is absolutely fantastic!! It is completely as good as finding a gold mine because the odds of that WOW. Love it!! We are the same here haaa my jar thing and my husbands many toys same all used and salvaged and saved. We actually have a high ho that we got when we were building our home that is so big and was used for rebuilding roads years ago but so heavy and wide to transport the Ministry banned them about 23 years ago so 20 years ago my man wanted one because no one else wanted them and they just went to scrap. So he paid very little for her, the tow was expensive however long story short, I was terrified of the thing at first. The bucket the size of my jeep. Her tracks did a lot of damage but the things she did for us.... I appreciate her to this day. I grew to love her engine sound and named her our Gentle giant. She is now parked at the back but will still start to this day. But old age set in and she can't move anymore broken track and impossible to replace. (that was for Dan I know he would love that story :) Oh my gosh the cows are being buggers haaa! I have bugger goats :) So love seeing you work together. So enjoyed this. hugs and luv.

So a friend of mine's husband has summer and fall raspberries in Southern Maine. And in the fall he cuts down the summer canes of the raspberries and in the spring you will cut the fall ones. And it's amazing how much they grow back. So I'm curious if you're able to do that with yours or that would kill them?
