OMG, you had me laughing so hard about the polka dot dress and Aunt Bea. I am going to donate all my large print tops and opt for smaller prints. Thank you for all your wonderful tips! Going to go online right now and order the Bye Bye Undereye concealor. Also, the Clinique under eye cream. Your eyes look amazing! With all of the crying I've done in the last 2 and 1/2 years since Wendell died, My eyes have aged and I've even thought of getting an eyelift. As I'm healing inside, I want to reflect that on the outside and reclaim the way I looked before my world collapsed. At 64, I feel I still have so much more living to do. The wrinkles we aquire at our age are a roadmap of all of the good times and the bad times. The smile lines and the crinkles at the corners of our eyes showed we have laughed and the and the crepeiness shows how much we've rubbed our tears away. If we could take the wisdom we have in these years and get back some of your youthful appearance from yester-year, we'd have the world in the palm of our hands, wouldn't we? I loved this video, Susan! You put a voice to what we feel. Thank you! Love and hugs to you and Desi! xox Colleen

Oh Colleen...you have been through it and back again...not a day goes by where I don't think of you. You used to take us through your life with your husband and home..you all were part of us and we grieve with you. Has it really been 2 and half years? And you made it...you have your beautiful spirit and home...you landed on your feet...it perhaps must feel like a dream at times looking back? I saw Bill tonight at the home and I fell asleep there with him...I just was exhausted and when I woke up he said " this is the happiest day of my life",,,,and so we go on..this long good-bye. I will never forget how kind you were to me about losing BIll to divorce...and now, how you give me strength that life finds a way. You are ready to start a new chapter in your life...and I want to come along. Love you, always...Sues

I lost my husband this year. The eyes will never recover. I’m hoping there is recovery as you speak of. If only Clinique made a heart cream. I’ll be 64 next month. I hope one day I can see my future again. Hang in there. There is a reason for everything. I was blessed with 33 years with my Bill, but as you know it’s never enough time.

@@kathymitchell8666 Hi Kathy! I'm so sorry for your loss. There are just no words, as I know what you're going through. It leaves such a huge void. My husband died on March 25th in 2017 and I'm just now starting to feel semi-normal again. You start to forget what "normal" feels like and it's like you have to create your new normal. Surround yourself with good friends and family. Eventually, the fog will start to lift. Sending prayers your way!

I had a special aunt Ann . She came only a few times a year but took me out of my abusive childhood and made me feel wanted and loved . When she left I was alone once again. Once I left my home at the age of 15 to get away from my father I tried to contact her but was unable to find her. I found out later on decades later that she had passed of cancer. When I learned of her passing a part of me died. She was the closest thing I ever had to a mother even though I only saw her a few times a year . Even though she has been gone for decades the impression she left on me is still there and something that will never leave me . It's amazing how one person can be in your life if only for a short time or even a fleeting moment , and how they can mold and change your entire being. She did that for me . She made what was a horrific childhood and brought light to it . I will never forget her . You are a blessing to us all and I am grateful to have found you .

I didn’t get told I was pretty when I was very young. I had parents that were all tied up in their own problems, and though they loved us, They were very self absorbed. We were poor, and I had a rich cousin that was one year older than me that I never, ever met. She would sent me bags and bags of clothes every summer, when her mom would take her school shopping. I can’t tell you how it made me feel to wear nice things to school after years of being made fun of for wearing old clothes. I felt pretty. So, someone made me feel pretty, and I never got to tell her thank you....

@Beach Town Reseller. I, too, had a 'simple' life as a child...I had a cousin who was an only child and both parents had 'good' jobs. She would send me bags of 'barely-worn' clothes. I loved them! Made me feel SO good. I really loved my cousin for her generosity! Felt like a million dollars!😊

I had a wonderful Aunt, my mother’s sister. She was married 3 times but, never had any children if her own. She loved me unconditionally. I once told her If my mother wasn’t my mother I would want her to be. I always felt her love even at times When I didn’t feel it from others. I never knew my Dad. I was 65 before I ever had. Photo of him. She would tell me about him. My sweet single mother worked two and three jobs just to pay the rent and feed us so she didn’t have lots of extra time on her hands so when my Aunt Hansel came it was a fun time. She would let me sleep with her and she taught me how to embroider at the age of 5. Every summer until the age of 13 she would take me to spend a week with her. Next to my mother I loved her more than anyone. I called her Aunt Hansie. She was overweight but, I thought she was beautiful.

I didn’t have a special aunt or anyone in my life to make me feel special. I came from a family that didn’t compliment or show outward displays of love. Unfortunately, I did some of the same things to my daughters simply from living how I was raised. Somehow, between raising my daughters and when my grandchildren were born something changed. I vowed to make my granddaughter feel beautiful at all times. I still do and I try and lift my daughters up. If I could go back in time I would be a more hugging, touching uplifting mother. Although, my daughters turned out wonderful! ❤️

My sister was 20 years older than me. One of my sweetest memories is standing by her at about 5 years old, watching her apply makeup and as she put lipstick on she looked down at me. She bent over and painted my lips. That was 74 years ago but I’ve never forgotten how special I felt. She died 17 years ago.❤️

Oh Sues❤I had Great Aunt Mag❤ Aunt Mag wasn't fashionable. Her husband, a house painter who taught his dog Rock to climb a ladder, died suddenly. Aunt Mag didn't know how to drive and had never paid a bill. Her sister, my grandmother, taught her how to move forward. I lived with her a whole year when I was in 5th grade after her loss. She learned it all. She never had children except for me. Later, she sold her home. I would spend the night in her one room living quarters. She always had chocolate covered cherries and let me stay up to watch X-1. Yes, I was her daughter by choice. Unconditional love makes up for things missing in a young life. To all the Aunts out there, we love you.

When I was 10yrs old, I moved with my mom and dad to Los Angeles from Oakland. The school I went to was very sophisticated, compared to the one I came from. I mean the kids were more advanced and ahead of Oakland. Also, my Aunt Blanche would visit us and always brought me beautiful gifts from Robinson’s dept store! Beautiful “babydoll” pj’s and such. So I know what you enjoyed with your aunt. So fortunate to have such a relative in a young girls life!

Oh I look so forward to your videos. They always include something precious to think about... I had an aunt whose company I truly enjoyed as a young girl. We used to put on my Donna Summers Bad Girls album and sing and dance in circles in my living room. No one understood her. Everyone saw her as nuts. I didn't. I loved her laughter and her stories. I loved her company. I love her. She passed away at a mental institution about 4 years ago. Thank you, Susan, for taking me down memory lane. I want to listen to Donna Summers 'Our love, will last forever!' 😊 I am turning 54 early next month. I decided to start an anti-aging regime last weekend -- after watching a bunch of yt videos on the subject myself. Haha! Maybe I should listen to Cher's 'If I can turn back time...' lol! Oh! I got a sample of this cleansing hair paste by Christophe Robin and I tried it 2 days ago and I love it!! It made my fine hair so bouncy and voluminous! ! When I got it, I thought it was so weird and grainy. But as soon as it comes in contact with your wet hair, it turns into this fantastic bubbly lather. Its $53 for almost 9 oz. But i have short hair so i don't have to use much. I put on some Living Proof's anti frizz cream and use my hot curling brush and my hair looks fantastic! Getting older is fun when you get to play with beauty products and give yourself spa treatments at home. I am loving it! Its all relaxing and decadent. 💖👍 God bless you and adorable lil Desi always. 🙏🙏💖☝

I see a little sadness in your eyes today and I hope it will comfort you to realize how much you mean to me and to the THOUSANDS of others who also enjoy "visiting" with you. My hands give my 61 years away. So much fun this ageing process! The other thing about weight loss in your 60s is when you lose a lot of weight, your wrinkles come out to play. lol. I have too many do- overs to mention, but my work personality and attitude now is so much better than when I was younger but I really miss the freedom of not caring about the future. I had a "sassy" aunt who wore mini skirts and eye makeup and was full of life. I remember my mother judging her as something bad. Looking back on it now, it was the judging that was bad.

Wow! What a story about your aunt. You continue to celebrate her and what she meant to you. You must have been very special to her too. Sad about her life and the way she lived and died. A lot of times young women get involved in things like that and it's very hard to break free once you're in. Shud make us feel grateful that our lives turned out differently. It's not difficult to make one wrong decision that determines the rest of our lives. I'm glad you never let knowing change the way you felt about her. If you loved her then she truly was a beautiful person. You are such a beautiful soul inside and out.

My great grandmother made me feel special by her kind acts and words, imagine four kids a small room and an 85 year old in her apron bringing us all bowls of warm soup on a winters night, it was a place of refuge when things got tough at home, you could sit and. feel peace. She was an angel, and you included the arms of an angel track at the end of the video. My thoughts on looking ten years younger are these. Exercise, including stretching and strength exercise. Posture when walking. Laughter a lot of that, having a younger mindset, trying new things and being positive; and of course looking after your skin... Have a great week Susan

Another lovely video. When you were describing your aunt I could have sworn you were describing my grandma when I was little. She was a widow and would take turns with all of six children's families and come stay on alternating weekends. One of my fondest memories is her with her creams, lotions, and perfumes. She was a big Mary Kay fan and talked to me about how to take care of your skin. As I was a big-girl, she made me feel pretty by bringing me these girly things and modeling femininity for me. She was so gracious, yet had a firecracker spirit. You brought back her presence to me this morning, so thank you.

Susan... I’ve looked back at your earlier videos and to me, it looks like you had an eyelid lift. Have you? I’m about to do it. Creams and lotions cannot do what a surgical lift will do. I love “It” concealer. Bye Bye under eye takes some getting use to. You just have to try it a few times and apply a small bit and let it warm up on your face , then pat it gently in. Voila!! You’ll love it! I love your approach to aging... trying new products, moving and walking, exfoliation... and attitude! We’re only here for a short time. It’s important to accept each stage of our lives and not obsess about aging... Afterall, some of us are not going to live long enough to experience their “old age”. So let’s enjoy our lives, at all ages! ❤️❤️❤️And be thankful!

Oh Kathy....I have not had an eyelift and what I find amazing is you are the 4th nice gal to ask me that! I wish I had a 100% answer as to why folks think my eyelids have come up. My lids are still covered...my eyes are not as swllon....I have been using Retinol and Rosehips oil day and night for almost 5 years....I exfoliate everyday....? I prmise you, if I ever can aford plastic surgery...I will film it!!! xxoo

Susan, your eyes look wonderful!! I thought for sure you had the lift. So therefore, what you’re doing is working so beautifully. I need to try it before I “go under the knife” If you have time can you give me specifics? Name of brands you use. Rose hip type, etc. I’d be very grateful! 😘💕

@@jorgieg1 HI Kathy! You have inspired me to do a video about this subject! I don't feel I could go under the knife because I feel I would be too anxious about it all....especially around my eyes. My guess is diet, Rosehip Oil day and night, eye cream and daily exfoliation helped the swelling of my upper lids become less. i Also have somewhat improved my eyeshadow techniques which gives an illusion that I have lid space when I don't! It's all smoke and mirrors...but I PROMISe you Kathy....I will go through what I have done step by step and show before and after pictures! I hope your Sunday is a good one!!!

@@LittlePoet .....I understand what you mean about the ' Smoke and Mirrors", lol.....Even at age 55, my best friend and I were thought to have had " stuff done'..but we hadn't. ( First off...COSTLY. Secondly, I was fine with how I looked) I learned about techniques to help the little facial flaws, so thats what we did....and I had been using a Collagen moisturizer for DECADES, starting when I was in my 20's. I didn't go out " getting a tan', I used sunscreen ( a Physical Sunscreen) everyday. Ive never smoked and honestly, I believe genetics had a hand in the whole thing, as well. ...My mother always looked young, even at 50 something, she looked about 45/46. She barely had any wrinkles, etc. So, now its 11 years later, I am 66 and I am grateful that I still ' look ok'. lol. :)

I think polka dot clothing is pretty. It was your hair that made you look older. It was too severe. I bought a maxi dress to wear around the house last month. I put it on & started laughing so hard. My girlfriend asked me what’s so funny. I said oh my God I look like Mrs Roper. We both had a good laugh. I put it in my closet & haven’t worn it but once. Ten years isn’t enough for me. I want to go back to my twenties. There’s so many things I would change about myself. Weight loss & exercise would be very important to me. Every time I would exercise throughout my life I would hurt myself. Not that I did something wrong , it’s just my bad back & knees. I would need the information that’s available now. I had four Aunts that were special to me. Three were my Mom’s sisters. There was a lot of love in my family. My other Aunt was my Dad’s sister. She made me laugh so hard all the time. She also would make me cream puffs from scratch. She never made them for anyone else. Lots of hugs & kisses from all my Aunts. I miss that so much. Love you, Lucy

My favorite Auntie was my Aunt Jean, my mother's sister. She was so elegant and traveled extensively. I would love to hear about the places she had visited; she always explained her travels so eloquently. It was like I had visited too. She was so joyful and despite some significant losses in her life, she was always positive. She loved to give dinner parties and she always included my cousins and me. She passed away 3 years ago and I miss her terribly.

Sweet Susan. I have watched your channel for about two years. My best friend and flame twin died of Lewy Body Dementia in 2017. You help me see things in a much more beautiful and POSITIVE way. Thank you for the kindness I see and feel in you. All the great skincare and tips I’ve learned from you are in many ways incredible. But I would simply watch you because I always feel more at peace. Love the music you have playing. Just love it all. I recently had to take a retin a break and I’m trying the rosehip seed oil. It’s wonderful! Please know you have helped me and I’m sure so many others. This has been a hum dinger of a year. Almost died from sepsis, then three pancreatic procedures to try to stop pre-pancreatic cancel. I’m VERY lucky to be here. I’m 68 and feel much more confident and happy with myself in years. Larry died almost three years ago. But I’d do it all again except for the damage it brought to him and to me. I was happy to be able to keep him with me but I was a broken person through it. Didn’t mean to dig such a hole. I love your content. You are such a friend. Thank you dear!

What a wonderful story about a beautiful soul, your Aunt Sarah. It's amazing how something someone did for us as a child, can be so meaningful still to our hearts, so many years later. Thank you for sharing that story with us and reminding us to be an "Aunt Sarah" to other little girls. 💗 What is the name and brand of that wonderful nail polish you're wearing? It makes your hands look so beautiful.

Love your videos, they are so peaceful ! I had an Aunt that loved to do my hair and told me how pretty I was. It didnt last for long maybe a couple of years off and on. I think having a young girl needs a women that can spend time with her to teach her things not only about beauty but also life ! My granddaughter is 10 and loves to hear my stories, she hangs on every word, sometimes I have to make them up because I have told her so many and then some I cannot tell her. lol When I make them up I always make sure there is a lesson or a morale of the story to be learned.

My Aunt Fran was my special person. Her and my uncle never had children of their own and my sister, brother and I were the only nieces and nephew that lived close. When my uncle would go hunting for the weekend, she would always come and pick me up and take me home with her. She taught me to cook and plant gardens. The one big thing was she had a huge wood dressing table in her bedroom and she would let me sit there and play with all of her makeup and jewelry for as long as I wanted. I loved that dressing table! About ten years ago, my husband went to an estate sale and came home with almost an exact replica of my aunts dressing table including the huge mirror that went with it. That dressing table is my most prized position and every day when I sit in front of that mirror, it transports me back to the 12 year old girl playing with my aunts makeup and jewelry. Hope you and Dezi have a wonderful week. Many hugs - Barbara

My oldest sister is 17 years older than me. She moved far away when I was only two, but came to visit. She was so glamorous to me and I too wanted to be like her. She wore delicate hair net bonnets that tied under the chin and came in delicious colors like peach and cream to match her beautiful tight waisted dresses. She gave me one of those bonnets and I imagined I was Audrey Hepburn! She told me I was pretty, she has continued to be supportive and we are so close now. Thank goodness we only live a few miles apart now. Thank you for bringing that memory forward. You are a balm to my heart. Bless you 💖

I had a great aunt too that made me feel special. I forgot about her until you were sharing. She was beautiful, elegant, dark skinned beauty. I was the "ugly duckling", but she always made me feel beautiful and special. I thought she was perfect. Later, I found out she was an alcoholic, a very troubled beauty. I never knew. I don't know what happened to her, I was too young, but I remember how she made me feel. Thank you for sharing and jogging a memory :).

I treasure my time with you each week. No matter what bad thing is going on in my life I know I can escape into my Susan time on Friday night. It made me cry to think about going back in time. I would go back to when I was seven years old and actually have my parents redo their lives st that time. My mother went away to a mental hospital for 2 or 3 months and my dad told her on the phone at the hospital that he wanted a divorce. My sister and I were left for those months to be cared for by our grandparent who we did not know very well. They were austere and rigid but loving in their own way. I have just in my 50’s been able to realize the trauma I suffered because of having my loving parents ripped away and to feel and experience the pain from it. I feel that it shaped my whole life. So if I could change anything it would be that situation.

If I could apply "lessons I've learned" I would go back and live richer and better. I can't so that is my aim for the present and future. I also carry a memory of a profound comment I received when I was 14 years old. It was Easter Sunday and though I was walking effortlessly in both my first and brand new pair of red and white heels (as my smart Mother made me practice wearing them at home first) my carriage was lacking quite a bit. This was due to the fact that at the time I was taller than almost all the boys and girls I knew and wanting to fit in I guess. Anyway a lady at our church named Betty Spence, whom I secretly admired from a far for her beautiful way of dressing noticed my slumping and took a moment to speak a few words to me that morning at church. Betty who was petite simply said tall girls wear clothes best, stand tall Pamela. From then on I started standing taller. And to this day anytime I am feeling unattractive I still hear Betty's speaking to me.

Your Aunt Sarah sounds wonderful! What a blessing she was to a little girl like you. I think the woman who made me feel loved was my grandmother. She loved to go to mass early in the morning and she would wake me up early and we would walk to church. When we got out of church we would stop by a little grocery store and she would buy me whatever treat I wanted. That was so special to me because we did not get many goodies when I was young and the budget was tight. My grandmother lived with us in her own little couple of rooms in the back of the house. I love the Clinique eye cream and have been using the same one for some time now. It truly does make a difference! I hope you and Dezi have a good week.
