Renee i know what you have been going through i lost my mother due to cancer and it was so hard watching her go through all that pain she passed away November 21 2023 I loved her so much it was a very sad moment for me but know no more suffering and I know that she in heaven and she would not come back for anything thank you and everyone listening to me I love you all your family just pray for me I really do appreciate your videos I feel like I am right there with you loves always your friend from NC Andrea

Dear Friend, my sister in law was born and raised in Greece. My husband brought her to the USA in the 70’s. She made Baklava only she crushed fine, baby teething biscuits and used them in some of the layers. She also layered her mixture on every other sheet of (FEE LOW) sheet’s. That’s how it is pronounced, FEE LOW 💕🙏🙏 She used a mix of pecan’s and pistachio ❤

Since I’ve had Covid for the third time I can hardly smell or taste anything right. My cooking doesn’t taste right. However it has improved a little. So I’ll have to keep buying all that wonderful stuff. But I will keep the recipe in case things get better. Thank you for all your wonderful recipes and videos. We had carrot cake because it’s my mother’s favorite dessert. I love pecan pie and lemon chiffon pie, but Thanksgiving isn’t the same without pumpkin pie. Hope you and John are doing great. Have a blessed day!

I made one pecan pie and one roasted pumpkin pie for thanksgiving. Fully home made including the crust, though it does have some room for improvement lol. Still absolutely delicious, I would take them over a store bought pie any day.

Baklava is so delicious but I have rarely ever even had it because it is so expensive and looked to complicated to even try to make. So when I watched you make it, I was amazed about what few ingredients it calls for. It is a bit tedious but not hard to do. Patience is the key ingredient I think after watching you. It is so nice to see you back to yourself again…I look forward to every one of your videos 🥰💕

Everything looks soooo delicious!!! I tried a new pecan pie recipe this year and it was a hit and will become our new go to recipe. The pies I made apple, cherry, pecan, pumpkin and chocolate cream for Thanksgiving. All were loved. I may get brave and try the baklava for Christmas. It looks sooooooo scrumptious!! Thank you Renae! Bak la va is my favorite dessert! Years ago I tried making it but the recipe said to butter every sheet of the phyllo dough. Every sheet was tearing I got aggravated and just threw all the sheets away and have never attempted it again. I think I will give it another try since you made it look so easy. Thanks

I am Greek. I made 2 half sheets of Baklava I add ground clove to the mix as well. (Try it u won't regret it) u can also add lemon zest to the mix as well 😊

Also tip for dog owners. Only feed your dog pumpkin puree!! Great for any gut issues. I always have pumpkin puree in my long term storage for my dogs❤️

I was at my grdaughter in DC . We went to a outside market and had the best peach cobbler pound cake it was to die for. It was so moist. I wish I had the recipe. Anyone out there have a recipe? Never had it before. I love baklava have not made in ages. I loved cooking and baking for thanksgiving.

I used a different recipe this year for my pecan pie, that used brown sugar instead of corn syrup. My husband liked it bur prefers the corn syrup version. I really loved it. It's more like a chewy cookie in a pie crust, rather than goopey filling.
