Hi Rob, came across your channel last week and very impressed with your presentations. Enjoyed your review of the Pullman train pack. I was surprised to hear the UK rrp. I purchased my Pullman train pack last year for $389.00 Aussie dollars. The hobby shop commented that he thought the the Hornby rrp wasn’t right. A win for me! Looking for to your future videos (I’ve been going through pass videos). All the best from Down Under.

I can easily see why you bought this. I bought the deluxe Orient Express train set several years ago. It had a Merchant Navy class loco, which I believe occasionally pulls the train today, and it started my love affair with British trains. Like you, I love the working table lamps in the coaches, which give the train such a nice feel. It's an amazing kind of train to own.

Hi Diedert! I saw the deluxe Orient Express set come up on Ebay the other day (for crazy money!) and it does look amazing.

@@LittleWicketRailway Yes, it is really nice, but it would give you a lot of stuff you don't need anymore. Yes, current prices on Ebay are crazy. I paid about GBP 300 for a near mint second hand set back in 2015, which I think was reasonable. BTW: the loco in it is Clan Line (non-streamlined) which occasionally pulls the train today. I add this, because it can be bought separately, of course. Note that mine is less detailed than what you can get today, with no painted cab detail, for example. I hope that this comment helps you or other people who are interested in the set.

@@diedertspijkerboer thanks for sharing, that's definiteily useful. If you were interested in the British Pullman track pack then Amazon are doing a very good price at the moment amzn.to/2ZU3yNt

@@LittleWicketRailway Thanks, that is indeed an excellent offer. Unfortunately, importing things from Britain has become very expensive since Brexit, since there's a hefty import tax now. I do hope to go to an exhibition in Britain someday, though, and get some second hand lighted Pullmans. I'm allowed to take a limited number of things home with me tax free.

Thanks, yeah, agreed Hornby did good one this one. Did you have to de-solder the speaker and fit it underneath on yours?

How can I get DCC current from the outer loop to the inner loop without interrupting the DC current?
@LittleWicketRailway4 жыл бұрын
Hi Scale Models, I'm not sure I understand the question, can you give me more details? I don't mix DCC and DC at the same time on my layout, I think that would end in disaster, but I have a way of changing between the two systems when I need to.
@scalesmodellingmagic58834 жыл бұрын
@@LittleWicketRailway what I mean is that I have an independent dcc circuit and I would like the current to go into the inner loop but will the wire for the dcc connection interfere with my two independent dc circuits wile operating the dc current?

Nice little review but as a steam man I’m using the money for other projects. If your worried about damaging the boxes try using a small screwdriver to open the flaps.
@LittleWicketRailway4 жыл бұрын
As a fellow steam fan I understand that decision. Thanks for the tip!
