This series is beautiful. Your next series should be a 10 | 15 series & the reason I say that is because the way you elaborate/vocalize your thoughts is so easy for beginners. I started learning chess a few months ago, and it hasn’t been easy for me to understand how to win (the middle & end game) but you constantly deliver concepts that are building blocks to being a great chess player.

Wins/Losses/Draws/Swindles: 197/4/1/1! There's a lot here that's refreshing. Losing clearly affects you; you learn from it, but I don't feel alone when I lose, now that I see your reactions. It sucks that you're going through trials, but this series humanizes the game, which is important. Glad you're on an up slope. Life can be rough. There's good things ahead for you, and this planet is better for you

33:45 I think that is because the players at this range have a fairly good grasp on the basic concepts, but lack consistency. They usually have no real good opening knowledge (or only play one opening the entire time). I know them, because I am one. ;) It's also hella annoying when opponents do not resign in a clearly lost position. Letting your clock just run out should also be penalized somehow. It already annoys me in blitz, let alone rapid. If you're tilted, go tilt on your own.

At 10:03, I think you're lucky your opponent didn't play Be6!! The line I'm seeing is Be6, queen is trapped unless g4. Then, Bxg4 Qf1 Nf3+ Kf1 Nxe1 Kxe1 and White is down the exchange and pawn with a super open king. I have no idea if that game could be saved. But if anyone can, it would be Nelson.

@WAnimsLmao8 ай бұрын
3:43 you missed a tactic in the 1st game after Be6 you can go Qxb7, if Black moves anywhere with Knight so that rook is defended with queen, Variation 1: if Na6, you can do a zwischenzeug after Qc6+, if Bishop blocks, youre winning a piece by forking both knights, you can take either knight then maybe take the pawn with pawn takes pawn,, but i prefer taking the knight on e4 firstsince it's already advanced up the board, while the other is just useless, but if you take the Knight on a6, you still defend the bishop so you're winning a full piece. If Queen defends, then, just take the rook with check, then the knight on e4, there's no pawn fork, since you'll be a rook, a knight and a pawn up since knight is interfering the queen's Vision of the pawn, but after Qxd4, if black goes Nc5, you can just do a check on Qc6+ and continue on with the game. Variation 2: if Nc6, then, take and check, idk what to say more. Variation 3: If Nd7, then take the Knight on e4 since knight is interfering with the queen's Vision yet again, if black tries to defend with c6 getting ready to play d5, just move your queen or bishop to safety, variation 4: after Qb7, if Pawn to c6 to interfere with the queen's Vision of the knight, i guess just take the rook honestly you'd be up a rook, then continue developing after that, there's really no attack for black. Idk if there's anymore moves or variations I haven't seen i don't even know if any of this works ☠️

Hey Nelson! At this point the level in the games is just beyond me but I keep watching and enjoying the series, and maybe try to keep up and learn something new every now and then. Do you think you could please do something like the beginning of the series, where you had timestamps with the openings you were playing? I understand it's not immediate in these livestreams, but maybe we (your audience) could give a hand with it? I found it so useful to be able to go back and watch you play some specific openings I enjoy when you were playing lower rated opponents. Anyways sorry for the textwall, best wishes regarding your health and family! :)

I would start thinking about making moves that have multiple purposes. You play very well but it sometimes seems like you're thinking too narrow - like making a move that honors only one objective or neglecting to make a good move because of uncertainty on how to counter the opponents next move - although those ideas are important sometimes. Idk. Just a thought and feedback. I'm lower rated than you but that's just what I noticed by observing.
