Thank you for posting this, I was 8 yrs old and groovin then and still groovin to Chicago. I miss this band from the early years. I think this was the glory years for them. I am so glad I grew up in the late 60s all through the 70s. great music, great cars, unlocked doors, a different more gentler world. Music a time machine and i can go back whenever i feel like it!

They were the first concert I saw in Houston about this time. I remembered that they played a lot of Chicago II and thought it was so cool the way that Pankow had a refrain in the middle of Make Me Smile! Saw them last year and they still sound great even though on 3 original members play as of 2023.

Hhhhmmm....Devil´s Sweet is from Chicago VII from 1974 ! No way this was recorded in 1971-72....

Not at all uncommon to write a song, play it live routinely, but not release it for years. Please know I’m not arguing with you and don’t know if this was the case for Devil’s Sweet. It’s certainly the type of song I can see being passed over for album release. A live fave? Looking over the stage, I notice the use of plenty of EV DS35 microphones which I believe could support your case. They were faves of mine and I didn’t get them until 1976.
