Watching this video is like finding a super sized pearl in the oyster. Thank you ever so much, Matt, and Mishala for roping him in!

I use Olympus Tough TG4 and TG6 to do Live Comp light painting. While it’s more limited than on the ‘big’ Olys, it’s a ton of fun and the images are great!

Good content despite the horrible video quality. It might look OK if you're watching on a phone. You can practice livecomp shots of fireworks (or pretty much anything else) at home by playing a good quality video on your TV or monitor and training your camera at it.

No problems with the recorded KZbin version at all. Thanks for the info - I’m definitely looking forward to trying Live Composite on 07/04.

When you say you took a 45 minute exposure, you are still setting the shutter for 1/2 sec, for example, or more? Doesn't the shutter speed mean that it takes a picture every 1/2 sec and the shutter is the method of showing each build on the LCD screen? Your statement of a 45 sec exposure means that's how long you let it build in the LCD before you shut it off, right?

Such poor video quality, even several days later, so there apparently isn't a recording of the presentation. The best would be if Matt recorded off his switcher and then posted that recording onto KZbin.

Thanks for the great content! When using an ND filter for daytime LiveComp, does the Live View still display the capture as it is in the camera, or does the filter make it too dark to see the Live View of the composite as it's building?

E-M1 Mark III, how do you turn off Live Comp? There is no ON/OFF in the Menu.

Great information. Thanks much. Too bad the resolution was so low. It was not possible to see much of the beauty you were describing. You and the lady were very sharp but your recording of your screen was less than optimum. That said, the explanations were very good.

I tried to watch this live but the video quality was so poor I had to give up. Posting the same quality recording has done nothing to assist what could have been a very good class. there must be a 'source' recording somewhere to replace this and everyone benefits.

As a new owner of a couple of the cameras with this feature, I was looking forward to this class. I came away with some ideas, but the video and detail were so garbled that the best I can do is just go out and try it - which maybe is the best anyway, but being on the Olympus channel and this poor isn't a plus for the brand. Perhaps just record these and skip the live part. Also observations of where people were was a waste of time to me - for everyone you notice there are 5-10 you leave out. Perhaps ask for questions ahead of time and make sure the main ones are covered in the class - else figure out the tech issues. Others do this without the quality hit many of us experienced.

Image quality was terrible as others stated. Too bad the host waited 35 minutes to try to resolve The host needs to move her screen up so she is looking at the audience at the same time as looking at the screen. Otherwise the material was good.

I don't think the hostess adds anything to these presentations.

Started watching, video quality awful; skipped forward to get glimpses of great shots, but gave up. Please repost this video at full resolution -(There must be a recording somewhere- -- it may be judged by some people as the fault of the camera,(Olympus!) ---not a good advert for Olympus.... Gave up in the end. Unwatchable. Sad, because the info looked excellent.

sorry, I gave up after 10 mins, with all that gear, effort and preparation for a good lecture and yet couldn't buy a decent microphone. So it was all wasted then, such a shame.

WAY too long.. bite size required. I don't need to see his examples for an hour just settings, techniques etc..
