True on finds in tot lots. Ours in our area are hit regularly by other detectorist. On my hunts, I try for maximum depth as I regularly find super deep coins others have missed! Also, doing the edges like you do will net some good finds as many skip detecting those areas!

Need some audio help. I am newer to the D2. If I have the volume loud enough for the deep targets the shallow ones are wayyy to loud. I’m sure there’s a setting in there somewhere.

Audio response setting will help you with this. A low audio response will make deep targets sound faint. A high audio response will give all targets deep and shallow the same loudness. A high audio response makes it difficult to know the depth of the targets and will make the detector unstable. A high audio response is also prone to EMI. I usually use audio response of 2. The audio response is a tonal modulation setting.
