Looks good. I’ll be watching. Poor Phil. He got so choked up when he last saw the bus as he got off the highway. I so wish I could do what you do to meet the wonderful people you do.

Thanks for the video. Sorry I missed the live stream. I was working. Uneventful trips are nice when dealing with our buses on their first shake down trip. Safe travels guys.

Thank you Sage-very informative speaker.Jason bought his Hound at the right place! I rode on those between Portland and San Bernardino, in my youth.

Jasons Bus shows the advantages in having a Bus thats unmolested versus a good survivor. Obviously Jasons 48 did private haulage versus Your's Sage which was a motorhome conversion. I dont know what the regs are in the US but even private or school/Sporting club Buses have a high level of compliance checking versus Camper conversions which fall in the realm of private vehicles which in most state in Australia only get checked by the State when thy change hands. That said Jasons bus is also a bit of a Unicorn and its originality despite the seating changes is where the value is. The other factor is that in the 70's and 80's Buses tended to be the domain of hippies and alternate life types many of which were light on funds and skills to properly maintain a Bus and particularly in Aus that shows when you are looking at Bus and Coach Bargains long stored or parked and id suggest similar issues in Northern America. I have to say that Jasons Argonaut (See what I did there? :-P ) looks fanbloodytastic all lit up and with the broken windows replaced and to be honest if she were mine id be tempted to clean the existing paintwork and pop a coat of clear over top while cleaning the Anodised alloy sides. Soooo Goood and great to see things going your way Boys!

tony66au Those were my thoughts about both Jason’s and Sage’s buses. Polish and straighten all bare aluminum-but leave the painted areas as they are, but cleaned and sealed with a clear coat polyurethane . The stylish lines of those old Hounds, is cheapened by adding any colors of a two-toned paint job.

tony66au When I was about 5, and my Mom and baby Brother (just turned 1) and I, took a Silversides Greyhound to visit relatives in Loma Linda, California. We also took a Silversides clear up to the Redwoods, on our way back home to Portland. The clutch went out, on curvy Highway 101. The Driver had to call for another bus (4104), to take us home. I still remember feeling badly about having to take a newer bus, which lacked the curvy lines of the old Silversides, which had the cat-eyes rear windows, and fancy luggage racks inside. That was 1953

LOL, driving distracted with electronic device. Here in Maine the have slow moving minivans. They have state trropers inside, one has a camera that films passing motorists. They film you driving with device and get you pulled over.

In Wisconsin you’re allowed to have a device hands-free which was the case
