The results from two independent labs over two years confirm that these two boxers have a typical male karyotype, meaning they went through all the processes of male puberty. This test is even more precise than a DNA test; I have experience in this area. There are no questions about the sexuality of these boxers. All tests are confidential and cannot be disclosed without the boxer’s approval. Additionally, the Algerian boxing organization has reinforced the importance of maintaining this confidentiality. It seems you only want to hear what fits your narrative.

@@danielc2694 Firstly, IBA unfairly requested only four players to take those mysterious tests. The strength of all the female boxers who participated in the game are much stronger than normal women. What was the reason for them not having to take the chromosome test? Under what standards does IBA believe they don’t possess XY chromosome? Did IBA permit players to win medals without undergoing a chromosome test? Is that what you would call justice? Next, IBA failed to show the public what kinds of tests they have conducted. Are the tests appropriate? How about the accuracy? What are the criteria? Where is the evidence that can indicate that Khalif and Lin share an XY chromosome? Does the XY chromosome benefit them in winning the game with ease? Why IBA allowed them to fight several bouts but claimed they were ineligible while they were about to win the medals. All those questions remain unanswered. Additionally, females with XY chromosome cases have been found for years, and their bodies function like those of women. You can easily update your knowledge on Google. Finally, before IBA demonstrates strong evidence to show Khalif and Lin are men, it is my belief that they are female victims of oppression and bullying led by IBA.

And people believe those nonsense. The female players are still fighting in the game. IBA held the press conference before they finish their final bouts. Would it not influence the players' emotions? Is IBA lacking in sportsmanship?

Chromosome do not only identify gender , it also identifies things like anomalies,genetic conditions etc.... so to leave it wide open and not provide any evidence is a bit strange. They had a 2 hour conference yesterday and really nothing was said. They could give politicians a run for their money. I can't see any verified info about the xy controversy. Just rumours it seems?

Ultimately, it comes down to whether or not you have a Y chromosome since having a Y chromosome is a necessary (though not sufficient) condition for producing small gametes (sperm), and the presence of a Y chromosome precludes the possibility of producing large gametes (ova). Only people who have all X chromosomes (females) ever produce ova. People with a Y chromosome (males) never produce ova. We can say that females are members of the set with the property that some of its members produce ova but none of its members produce sperm.

No wonder there is so much confusion, much of what is said in foreign language can be lost in translation. Time to get fluent English speaking doctors to talk about what type of chromosomes the two fighters in question have. Explain to the masses the difference between XX, XY and Intersex. If the two fighters have XY due to being intersex or have some type of disorder with their chromosomes they should be fighting in a MIXED category.

There are only two primary sexual karyotypes in every cell of the body-XY for males and XX for females, with very rare genetic anomalies such as 47,XXY, which can lead to conditions like Klinefelter syndrome. This syndrome is characterized by reduced muscle mass and strength, less facial and body hair, wider hips, a more rounded body shape, and potential gynecomastia (enlarged breast tissue). It also involves lower testosterone levels, affecting various bodily functions and development. The Algerian male in question does not display traits associated with the XXY karyotype and is certainly not female (XX). He likely has the XY chromosome, the very definition of a MAN which is linked to muscle development and survival traits, Science is objective and unaffected by politics or ideologies; it is what it is. Believing in alternative facts is a personal choice, but it does not change the reality of scientific principles.

You are obviously woke, it's very clear from your logic. Put your emotions aside and follow logic and science. The IBA is putting their reputation on the line and can be sued for millions of dollars if they have no evidence. They held a press conference in Paris and clearly stated that they are males with XY chromosomes. Neither Algeria nor Taiwan are disputing the decision in a court of law, so what does this mean? If you are accused of a crime and you don't defend yourself, then it's concluded that you are guilty.

You understood nothing. Because of the test that was administered in India, they could not conclude what the karyotype was, they just knew that the results were anomalous. So the next time they were in a tournament, they administered a test specifically with respect to karyotype and established that they were not XX

The head of IBA clearly said at minute (1:50: 20) that he received an official correspondence from both Algeria and Taiwan demanding that they don’t release the medical reports to the media. From a legal perspective the IBA cannot publish medical reports without the athletes consent. So why would Algeria and Taiwan do that if they have nothing to hide?

Can someone please time stamp or give me any links to this xy chromosome confirmation from the IBA? All i heard was something about chromosome testing which can be used to detect a wide array of health conditions or anomalies. Im really struggling to find verified info that the test was for gender testing that gave rise to this xy gene in the athletes. The IBA seem to be dancing around the rumours and not providing any evidence.

Start listening again to the Doctor from roughly 1:45:00 through 1:48:00. There are other references to the genotype of the two boxers in the press conference, but in this one the doctor says explicitly that her genetic testing from two different accredited laboratories in two different countries confirms she is "male", meaning XY genotype. Creation and uptake of testosterone levels in persons with XY, even with female organ presentation, can be significant during puberty and create typical "male" muscle mass, which can be unsafe in combat sports when pitted against a XX female. This is the safety issue they discuss. Out of an abundance of caution, the IBA rules essentially indicate that IBA women's division participants shall be XX genotype females only -- to the exclusion of everyone else. The IBA sent their testing and disqualification information to the IOC months ahead of the Olympics, but the IOC apparently uses passports to determine eligibility and did use the IBA information for eligibility consideration. Personally, I am glad no one was seriously hurt during the women's Olympic boxing ... but it only takes one or two punches to get through to seriously harm an opponent when there is a substantial strength or weight mismatch, regardless of boxing skills. Doing genetic testing on all athletes wishing to compete in an "XX genotype" division seems prudent, and then have an Open division for all others, with the usual standard anti-doping tests, and eligibility standards in place for both divisions.

TLDR: Yes, we have the results indicating both athletes have a male genome. No, we cant share it but you can se the summary of the result on this page, with our signature. Dont know how i feel about this one. In the end is which athletic body you give authority. I'd opt for a 3rd party analysis of all the athletes (these 2 included) so that there is no bias. And see

The question about the security of females in boxing, in that regard, I totally agree with the IBA. If we refer to the (no scientific) term intersex. Both athletes could also have participated in the men's division, but because they have predominantly male traits they have an advantage against the females.

They tested Karo types they were identified as 100% Men XY HIGH T there is no way they can be anything but 100% males. It was not their test the test was done independently they received from India and Indonesia where IMANE and Lin were competing. They don't even own the tests. They gave them the opportunity to retest to show without a doubt they are female and they refused to do so, so they were disqualified. Imane and Lin became enraged that they were testing their gender but both signed the contract legally to test those tests showed them to be 100% Male. Enraged they went to compete in the Olympics who refuse to test for gender. The IBA said they do this because they do not want to endanger women competitors and they care about their safety. The press did not like the answers and tried to muddy the waters and ask questions regarding bullying🤣

@@alexmbiocjr9962 Yes the Dr. and reps confirmed Imane is 100% male, now I just want to be clear both Lin and Imane were found to be both male presenting XY karyotypes with high testosterone. There are no conditions in which a woman has both conditions. This is how the different labs confirmed they were 100% male. They sent those to the IOC and the IOC ignored them and refused to look at them citing they do not consider gender tests when placing players in women's sports.

The taiwanese boxer never appealed the results, the algerian boxer withdrew the appeal. If they were adamant to prove that they were females at birth, they would have pushed through appeal against IBA but they feared that reviewing and disclosing the gender test results or ask for new gender tests would reveal to the world what they already know deep down, that they are born males with DSD XY and not females XX. A retroactive passport doesn't make you female at birth, chromosomes do.
