Gosh, I am 18 min into this and I have to stop and say that you are wonderful at this. Wow, so creative and explain so well. One can tell that you are living and breathing what you teach. Such a fresh and comprehensive approach to style. I just found you. Looking forward to see more of your work. Most definitely will be getting your sustainable guide and will look up for inspiration!!! I recently removed 90% of my wardrobe as I was not happy with it for the last 5-10 years. Thank you!!!!

Loved your comment about someone criticizing what someone wears saying it makes you 2 kilos more. I hear this all the time in general….entire KZbin channels about how petite ( short) people should dress to look taller. I just find it so unhealthy. I am short…why do I want to make my entire focus of how I dress to look taller when I’m not? I’m all for wearing items that I feel are flattering to me which usually are what I feel good in and that is more important then just trying to look like something I am not because media idealizes 6’ tall 100 lb runway models. This was such a great and helpful video. I enjoy how you really are just trying to help each individual, unique women. Thank you.

This is amazing, Daria. It opens so much for me about style and fashion. I used to have the style mixing between Classic & Dramatic when I was at my 20s and working in a big corp. Now I see myself leaning toward Casual & Romantic. But after this, I know that I can be Casual & Romantic for spring summer and Casual & Classic in fall winter for a more streamlined look without being bulky. Love love love your course. I promised myself to make time on holidays to watch your course. Wish me luck with my time management 😅😅😅

You are so insightful! And even though your colors are not the ones I feel best in...I’m so drawn to their beautiful saturation and how wonderfully they play with each other. ❤️

I would say I am casual with dramatic elements. Thanks for simplifying it. How do I avoid looking frumpy?

For folks who want some fashion inspiration from the seasoned crowd, check out Iris Apfel and Ari Seth Cohen’s Advanced Style book series. The energy’s undeniable with the spectrum of expression (definitely classic, casual, romantic, creative). However, the author has a lot of lighter skinned examples in his earlier books (likely due to his ease of access to folks within his immediate community). Hisother book Advanced Love offers more fashion and ability, size, and melanin/skin tone examples. My closet seems to reflect a mix of casual/relaxed and romantic with a splash of creative. I love natural fabrics, multiple textures, and soft lines. However, some of my accessories are bolder in colour or shape. I feel a little out of place wearing separates, but that may be from years of wearing school uniforms.

My style is definitely mostly dramatic, and I’m not afraid to say it…so many leather boots and figure hugging clothes. I don’t have the perfect figure but I work around best as I can.

Looking at my clothes all at once made me realize that my style is mostly romantic, but more of a "cute " romantic: pretty sleeves, pepplum or baby doll tops, light and flowy a-line dresses with pretty spring colors and little feminine details. I'm always drawn to these thing but I feel uncomfortable wearing them because I don't like bringing attention to myself (serious introvert here). I'm still trying to balance the "comfort" part of my style in terms of what I'm comfortable wearing outside the home without fear of being noticed 😅

Thanks for a great video. I think that my primary style is classic and creative at the same time. For example I wear button up silk shirts with long hot pink or red with soft straight leg black pants with a black blazer or long black cardigan. I love classic stricture in bold colors! I also wear statement gold earring with a giant man’s gold watch . Is this a good combination?

I consider my personal style classic and casual with some edginess thrown in for those special occasions. When I say casual I mean comfortable but not no makeup and Birkenstock casual. Just clothes that are not too confining and definitely not overly sporty or masculine.

DEFINITELY casual, clothing has to be a tool to simplify my life and I don't want to catch too much attention 🙂 I would enjoy more of a classic style when I go to work though 🤔 this video is really interesting 👍🙃

Casual classic I think is where I land with a touch of edge when I go out. I would like to be less casual at times but I work with animals and it doesn’t make sense to get dolled up only to get my clothes covered in fur lol. So I kinda live in T shirts and shorts most days.

I am a mature woman and morn the days not so long ago when I felt confident going sleeveless. My question is what advice can you give to avoid looking matronly while avoiding being sleeveless?
@feistychickpea34943 жыл бұрын
I like the just above the elbows look. My two favorite tops are boatneck tops with sleeves that come above the elbow in light fabric. Think Audrey Hepburn. I feel so lovely in them 😊. Classic but not stuffy.

@SC16397 If you sew, or can afford a tailor, you might consider “sheer” sleeves (of any length you want.) Might have to research the fabrics, but silks are an obvious starting point. They would look extremely elegant, but might not work with all other fabrics you have in your wardrobe. Maybe just a couple of blouses like this? (Instead of trying to alter ready-made garments.) Have fun!

I think my style is a combination of classic, casual, and creative. I love many romantic and dramatic kinds of clothing simply as clothing but they do not flatter me at all and I feel uncomfortable in them. Recently one of the most important factors for me is material. I despise synthetic materials, and try to only add new items to my wardrobe made of natural materials.

What is the difference between classic and basic?
@thechronicreative3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure. Classics are normally more tailored, clean lines, nothing too fussy in the shaping. The silhoutte is normally but not always straighter when it comes to garment construction. Basics can mean any garment that is typical to it's style. . A plain white t shirt is a basic but with flutter sleeves it is romantic not classic, with an assymetric hem it is not classic but more creative. Yet both are a basic white t shirt. Both are key helpful clothing to have to mix and match with things but not necessarily classic in style.

I am a winter and live in Spain, so there are a lot of women that are my colour typology... I asure you, I find nobody wearing the winter colours the way I do. I agree with Daria, it's so personal.... On the contrary, I have the impression that the rest dress all the same and with the same colors... (so boring!)
