Dear Christi, can you give your comment (you don`t have to answer). Please find and listen to (can`t send a link) - Celine Dion Hymne à L'Amour (Live at American Music Awards AMAs 2015). My impression is as follows. 1. CD has technically very well-trained voice and she knows the words, but she has no or poor contact with the soul of this song (and with E Piaf as well). 2. The way she is behaving on the stage, says: I am The Queen and you are my subjects, so I expect you to love me. Based on that performance I do not see there is any place for real love 3. I am sorry for who are crying (if tears are caused by her “singing”) and for this standing ovation. This performance is all about craft skills. And maybe about honoring CD for she has done in music business (for what I have understanding). -- If you don`t see the need to answer here, maybe we can contact by another way. - Margus (the same guy who wrote about Lara). My take on CD is (I am not familiar with her and I make no claim to the truth here ). She can be warm, caring and loving person, but when it comes to singing she kind of forget that she is that person and becomes somebody who has to perform a song in perfect way. As result all what (basically) remains from singing a song is her vocals (and words). F.e. My heart will go on and All by myself. So, there is a chasm between her as a private person and her as a singer (private life and business life). And she is not able to build a bridge to take her across it, although she herself loves music and sees it as a source of joy.

It all started when Tommy’s dad showed him Gary Moore. And he’s been Tommy’s inspiration ever since. He has even got his hands on Gary Moore’s legendary white PRS guitar. You can really tell that Tommy loves Gary Moore since there’s always a bit of extra heart in his covers. The bassplayer in Majestica has a great voice and those three things combined will give you Tommy’s cover of Gary Moore’s song Murder in the skies which he perform along with Cris Davids. A must see in my opinion!

Tommy released covers every friday even when he was touring the states with Sabaton (Twisted sister covern The Price. 1 million views now). This guy has way too much energy. 😉 I really like his Elton John covers, Circle of life and Im still standing. But everything he does turns to magic

Great reaction! They've changed members since when this album was released. The band members here in this video are amazing musicians that's for sure! And so are the current members, Petter H (guitar, backing vocals), Joel K, (drums) and of course Chris D, (bass, backing vocals/vocals) and Tommy J (vocals, guitar... ). I'm not sure about the songwriting. I know Tommy is definitely doing a lot of that, but I think the others or at least Chris is part of it too. And ALL band members are awesome singers!! I mean All of them! Majestica has been an underrated band for too long. I hope and look forward to more from them.

What many people don't know is that little Sweden is second only to the USA when it comes to music and creating hits. Sweden has the largest number of choirs for anathlete population in the whole world. In Sweden, it already starts in primary school with children being allowed to play and learn with instruments. Everyone who goes to school in Sweden has music lessons and instruments. Every municipality in Sweden has music associations, where people meet to play music, bands are formed and you practice playing music. So that's why Sweden has many musical talents who achieve success. That is why many world artists come to Sweden to get help with hits. Like Britney Spear, backstreet boys, Celine Dion, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and more. So all this with the music in Sweden is so good is due to the fact that Politicians in the Riksdag as well as municipal politicians make sure to invest in music. because not everyone wants to do sports. Remember many musicians early in Sweden started singing and playing the instrument already as toddlers.

Woow! So lovely and so metal!

I power walk to this or cleaning the house. But also just sit and listening or ugly dancing in the kitchen. I love the adventure in this song and how all instrumentalists gets their time in the spotlight. And it has the best intro and the bass solo is soooo good.

I'm going to echo others in recommending Murder in the Skies, performed by Tommy with Chris David. Great performances, fantastic song. Gary Moore wrote the song in remembrance of Korean Air Lines 007, shot down by the Soviet Union September 1, 1983. In a coincidence verging on quantum entanglement, Tommy Johansson released their cover on the 40th anniversary of the plane crash, not realizing the significance of he date until shortly before releasing it. On the subject of metal music in one's life: I was raised in a very conservative home; ironically, my greatest exposure to rock was probably 0-5 years old, when my sister played her 60s and 70s rock music while babysitting me. I had no idea until just a few years ago how much of a positive influence metal music and especially the metal community could be in my life. I know now, and I love it. To be fair, Home Free and the acapella world made inroads first, but somehow the next door I walked through was metal.:)
