You think so? I think her whole closing argument was trash. Including the rebuttal. She should’ve talked about each victim that died especially the little boy. She should’ve brought him up specifically in the rebuttal because that scumbag was whining about not being able to meet and hold his son. She should’ve compared it. Her closing argument was complete garbage. She made more mistakes than darell made objections. It’s sad. This whole trial is just a joke. I feel so bad for the victims and their families.

New sub here! I’ve been listening everyday and watching when I can.. brooks is a very conniving character. I think today was a complete circus and as patient as the judge has been she’s give him way too much leniency this whole time. I wish they could show the jury the stunts and his demeanor throughout.. there was times he stared down and even flinched his head in a threatening manner. If you’ve seen more than just the last couple hours of the trial you’d have to wonder what he’s done to his exes in the past... I can only imagine the abuse they’ve endured. I’m trying to have some faith in the jury but I think about the jury in the Casey Anthony trial and how everyone thought they’d definitely come back with a guilty verdict.. I wonder how many of the jury could have the same morals or lack of. Brooks ran that courtroom because the judge allowed it. Worried af right now..

Once the jury started deliberations and the reality of no mistrial and judge recusal was no longer possible, Brooks showed his true colors. He started joking about subject matter jurisdiction with the judge and she had none of it. And I truly don't get why the judge hears arguments about the jury seeing exhibits that were admitted into evidence. Can't she just assemble the parties and inform them of what the jury wants and that she is sending the items? They have every right to see any exhibit that was admitted during the trial without listening to Brooks' bullshit objections.

You should do a poll on the number of people Brooks feels is responsible for all this. The ex, her friends, the victims for not moving out of the way, the parents who didn't seek immediate medical attention, the car manufacturer, God, the court, the judge, the state, the technology... the only one who wouldnt be on the list is Brooks himself

Watched a lot of this trial, crazy stuff happened. So I am glad to hear a lawyers point of view to make sense of all this! Thank you for sharing your expertise. All I can say is this guy is very narcissistic and did not seem remorseful in his closing statement. The Christians I know own up to what they do and would take an opportunity like he had to do so. For him to mention his faith and what he was taught growing up made me wonder why he was not showing more remorse and empathy for his victims. He would have known better and made a more respectful effort throughout the trial. In fact , one could argue this would have never happened if he was truly close to the Lord Jesus. May justice be speedy here and he gets the punishment he deserves.

I find it fascinating that someone could say this DA could have done a better job. She was speaking to normal people not lawyers. She held their hand through every step of every crime and every purposeful act. If this jury can’t convict on every count it has absolutely zero to do with how they presented the case nor the closing.
