LIVE: Soldier stabbed near Gillingham barracks in Kent

An army officer stabbed numerous times near a barracks in Kent was attacked with two 10in kitchen knives while his wife tried to protect him, a witness has said.
The victim, in his forties, was attacked in Gillingham at about 6pm on Tuesday, close to Brompton Barracks - the home of the Royal School of Military Engineering Regiment.
