In 2017, freshmen students in Ateneo were invited by their teacher to write fiction stories about the extrajudicial killings in the Philippines. Six of the best stories were chosen for publication in an anthology. Professional writers were invited to mentor these students in polishing their stories and in processing this very complex issue, all while contributing their own written pieces in response.
Six students. Six mentors. Twelve stories. One country’s fate.
PRE-ORDER Triggered: Creative Responses to the Extrajudicial Killings in the Philippines through Chamber Shell Publishing: chambershell.com/triggered/. All proceeds of the book will go to the EJK Orphans project of the Diocese of Kalookan.
This online book launch was recorded on November 27, 2021 and was first livestreamed on Areté's Facebook page.
