Thanks to KZbin and the one who uploaded this clip. Those of us who did not have the privilege to study at the Ateneo now have an actual glimpse of perhaps one of the best minds in our educational system.

Itis notable they started the discussion citing the Shoah (Hebrew: catasthrope, destruction) or what the world knows as the Holocaust genocide perpetrated by the Nazis on the Jews. The world however is mostly ignorant of the flipside of this historical reality in which the victims turned into the perpetrators of the Nakba (Arabic: catasthrope, destruction) genocide. Converts to Judaism driven by Zionist nationionalist ideology massively migrated from Russia, Ukraine, and Poland and then founded the modern state of Israel in 1948 (no continuity and equivalence with the biblical Israel!) and displaced and dispossessed indigenous Palestinians from their homes, lands, and lives in the process. The Nakba inflicted by the ZioNazis is now 75 years old and continuing through the ongoing genocide-ethnic cleaning, settler colonialism-illegal occupation, and apartheid-subjugation of and on the Palestinians. What the world mainly considers terrorists are in reality freedom fighters trying to retake what was stolen from them. The real terrorists are the immigrant settler land grabbers.

It's sad to think that many Filipino's nowadays doesn't even know who Jose Rizal is 😥To me personally, he's the greatest Filipino who ever lived and he deserved to be our national hero.

there are atheisms and there are atheisms, and therefore there are as many histories of atheism as there are atheisms themselves. the atheism presented in this video seems more the nihilistic kind. and nihilism, if adhered to absolutely (insofar as human beings are capable of being absolute in their positions), necessarily stops the conversation and declares dialogue impossible, thus producing solipsistic individuals who can look out only for their own interests. ultimately, there is only the will to power. Welcome to the world of Hitler. Or Stalin. Or Netanyahu. Or Trump. Nihilistic atheism CANNOT by its very nature allow human flourishing at all.

"Religion" and "Faith" do not exist in the abstract. What we have are PEOPLE who think of themselves as holding on to a "religion" or as having "faith." A more accurate question would therefore be: DO PEOPLE OF RELIGION OR FAITH HURT OR HEAL? Ipso facto, "conservative communities' or "conservative individuals," whoever they are in the concrete, can hurt or heal. Sociological categories are categories, by their very nature conceptual and therefore quite abstract. Some individuals may say they are hurt by their religion or faith; but it is possible that it is THEIR understanding and interpretation of "religion" or "faith" that creates dissonance within themselves. The Bible is a TEXT; it needs to be studied, understood, interpreted, applied, etc., and a VERY COMPLEX text.
