I once had a friend who behaved similarly, and his actions and lies eventually ended our friendship. When I look at Trump, I notice many of the same mannerisms and behaviors. He genuinely seems to believe his own falsehoods. I've tried to help those in the MAGA movement see through the misinformation, but they often don't, so I've learned to disengage. While MAGA may not fully fit the definition of a cult, it certainly shares some striking similarities. History shows that radical groups have risen and fallen before, and I believe the same will happen with MAGA. The real question is whether the Republican Party will be taken down with it.
