Well, like I predicted, I wound up beating this game earlier today when I have much better titles sitting on my shelf, untouched. Honestly, there's way more fun nods to the movies and lore later on, and some actually really cool set pieces. Hell, you can even romance certain characters! Which is....kinda cheesy and clumsily done, but yeah, you can still do it! There's even incentives to play through again, as it seems you can get multiple endings, along with smaller variants on those endings. The gameplay never gets more interesting in terms of stuff you can do, but there's WAY more weapons available, just Plasma-based guns alone. If this was a digital only game and was like 40$, I'd say it's easy to recommend, especially if you're a Terminator fan. I overall really enjoyed it!

The critics were very hard on this game, especially IGN (not surprising.) However, the players love it. It currently has a 9/10 on Steam. I'm absolutely loving the game, though I'm not very far into it yet. You can tell that the developers at Teyon are true fans of the Terminator franchise and that a lot of love went into the game. They nailed the atmosphere. And the music is fantastic. Yeah, the graphics and AI may not be the best, but you have to give Teyon credit considering they are a small developer. After the disaster that was Rambo, as far as I'm concerned, they've redeemed themselves. This is the Terminator game us fans have been waiting for!

Terminator: Resistance is beautiful. And is pure luck for us that it even exists. It is an incredibly nice game to play and has immense fan service. You really get a sense of why Kyle Reese was the way he was and what he lived through. You basically live in that resistance shelter from T1. And the ending is superb. You really get a feeling of what it means to sacrifice in the Terminator world. Very emotional parts to the game, even more than the movies. You really understand sacrifice in this game. I'd say the story is better than T2. Whoever made this game were superfans of the franchise and great artists. The gameplay is a little easy which is great for people who want to focus on the story. That story. This is the real T3 And turn on Nvidia sharpness to make this look exactly like the first movie.

Not going to lie, but I played the whole way through, romanced my two options (yeah, i couldn't stop laughing at the sex scenes lol), and kiiiiiiiiinda enjoyed it a tiny bit....It's not the best game but if you liked Skyrim/Fallout but more simplistic, go for it. The "big reveal" is seen 29 miles away but meh, didn't bother me at all when I discovered it fairly quickly. It's a one and done though so wait for a big sale.

I'm not a big fan of Terminator. I've watched the movies, I don't feel really attached to them, but this? Despite not having much of a budget it has the perfect atmosphere and great soundtrack and I just want to play it. My favourite part was hearing your reaction to the whole encounter with T-800. It was great to see how durable it was, and I was pleasantly surprised and got goosebumps upon hearing it bashing the doors.

Honestly, the game is pretty much only made for fans of Terminator... The lore and world is great, and most is intact and faithful to the first two movies, but purely as a game, it's extremely unimpressive! It's basicly just the story Kyle Reese told you, and the story you piece together in T2 all thrown together. Since i'm a HUGE fan of the first two movies, and some of the extended universe, i loved playing through it! It was pretty much like playing an 80's or 90's action science fiction movie, and it does what it sets out to do. And impressivly enough, i never ran into a single technical problem or major glitch or bug during my playthrough, which is more than can be said of pretty much any other major title on the market at release. The game does feel pretty unbalanced though, as even on the highest difficulty, the game is extremely easy... This is evident in the first few missions where you start out by murdering everything in just a few shots, only to run into your first T-800, where you can literally do nothing to them if you don't have explosives or Termination Knives. However, as soon as you get your hands on your first plasma weapon, the game is EXTREMELY easy, and only gets easier when you get your hands on the gen 2 versions of plasma weapons. I only died twice on a hard playthrough, and one of those was from an unlucky hit by a flying gas canister...
