Beauty of a chromer…and on the first cast too! I’m looking at the river and it appears to be not nearly as chocolate as I thought it would be, you must be fairly far upriver huh? East of the Lyman-Hamilton area?

Overall been pretty solid for the price. I got it more for a rain shell and has done its job. There are higher end ones that perform better I’m sure for heavy heavy rainfall.

When you decide if you want to try a new spot for salmon fishing - do you first see if any fish is rolling? In this case have you seen any fish rolling or jumping before your first cast? Thanks!

That is a great question! In this case I did not see any rolling. I picked this spot due to the tree break causing a nice spot for the fish to rest at. Made sense for where a fish would be. Honestly, I try a spot and move to maximize use of time and productivity. I’ll make journal notes to where fish were and where I caught them to come back at future time too. It would always be nice to see rolling fish to help indicate there are there
