According to the Horus Heresy rule book, the Astronomicon is just a massive choir of Psykers screaming endlessly into the Warp, under the guidance and empowered by the Emperor. So realistically, could it be possible to make new smaller ans weaker Astronomicons across Imperium Nihilius? Just a curious question I had and wanted to share to get your two cents.

Though speaking of that, what’re your thoughts on the theory that during the DAoT that the human confederation, or whatever it was called, had thousands, or even millions of these scattered across the galaxy. Kinda like a series of lanterns or beacons to help guide Dark Age humans across the galaxy. I mostly like this theory because it paints Big E in such a hugely bad way. Cause instead of setting up self sufficient and reliable means of Warp Travel, it instead forces humanity to rely on him, as the one and only means of Warp Travel. Either way, love your videos man. I won't call it anti-warp. We know the warp is impacted by the user. In this case, it's chaos vs anti-chaos; that doesn't necessarily mean chaos vs order.

I will say, all a real-life lighthouse does is blink to show that there is a threatening bit of coastline you should avoid crashing into near said lighthouse. Lighthouse keepers would have to work day and night to manually keep the thing lit back when they had to fill fuel and trim wicks on oil lamps, clean soot off the lenses, and make sure the mechanical components stay working. All lighthouses in the US except one (due to historical preservation) are now just fully automated. With the advancement of LED technology, some lighthouses don't even use a sweeping beam anymore, they just blink really brightly in all directions.

Your Gods of Order theory kinda has some weight to it. It has been rumored that Constantine Valdor has access to a pocket dimension in the webway which was given to him by the Emperor, in which he is helping the Emperor to create saints and "soldiers of light and fire." Even Majorkill's channel talks about this quite a bit. I believe Saint Celestine, Constantine Valdor, The Sanguinor, Grand Marshal Helbrecht of the Black Templars, and even perhaps Dante are being set up as the Emperor's "Legion of Order," if you will. Then you also have to include Ferrus Manus (supposedly) and the Legion of the Damned. And even if that isn't the case, you can always make the case that between the guardsmen who have seen these Imperial Warp entities, & The religious zealots, its quite possible that the worship will eventually ascend them to that point. That is what Saint Matthieu and the Aeldari told Gulliman - is that he is a God now, regardless if he likes it, or not.

I always thought it is something not truly of the warp, nor truly the material realm. But instead one that has been overlayed upon the other. That psychic screams meshed with some material amplifier from either the dark age of tech or the necrons was the true heart of it. That big E just directed it, pointed it. I say this is backed up by how the demons react as it is not a true warpstorm as they arent empowered by it instead weaken and shattered by it. It isn't order upon chaos, but instead psychic energy meshed with something of the material world, thats why all of its manifestations aren't true demons, they arent simply part of Big E psychic might or part of a possible star child, but all of them are souls of people who had fought and died for mankind cause, brought back by the Astronomicon and or big E to carry on the fight. As it can't make demons as it is not a true warpstorm or a pure warp entity it needs that material realm component of a real life for it to empower as it can not create.

A good assumption would be that the warp is just a primordial force that can shape and be shaped by whoever uses it. The only reason it is so hostile is because Chaos has a hugely disproportionate presence within it. Warp fuckery that is not tied to Chaos would explain the Manifestation of the Greater Good as a goddess and some of the mos mystical aspects of the Elder Cores.

And the reason Chaos has so much power is because of the birth of Slaanesh, whose excess and birthing pains brought torment and suffering to the galaxy and amplified the other three Chaos Gods in the process. Before then, the Warp was probably chock full of minor gods that existed alongside the Aeldari pantheon, but none beside Gork & Mork had the unified belief to have much of a presence besides the Emperor and now T'au'va.

For anyone like myself, a fan of WH40K that read alot of lore since 1998, 2nd and 3rd Edition Rulebooks had really good coverage of Lore. The Astronomicon is a Psychic Communications and Beacon for navigating the warp. It functions a bit like how ComStar in Battletech/Mechwarrior but in a more Grimdark manner, fueled by the psykers

I think you and I may be on a similar toughtpattern when it comes to anti warp and the emporer's power. The way I think about is this. Think about radiation, there is a whole spectrum of it, infared, visible light, ultraviolet, x rays, gamma rays ect. What makes them diffrent is the wavelength. Chaos is like gamma radiaiton, while the emoporer and his pantheon of order is like visible light. Still the same type of thing, physic energy, but they are VERY diffrent in terms of porperties.

I like the idea that Imperious is Malcador, or at least an echo of his psyche as he died from the overwhelming psychic burden of operating the Golden Throne. Malcador was a powerful psyker in his own right. The third most powerful in the Imperium, even. He was only outclassed by The Emperor and Magnus. It would be no surprise to me that he would have left a Malcador-shaped imprint on the Astronomican's energies. The golden mask he is stated to wear is even evocative of Malcador in his final moments, made in the image of an old man screaming in pure agony. This initial imprint is probably also deepened by the Emperor's own torment and the memory of his closest friend and confidant.

The Astronomican has been kept vague and Esoteric for far too long. Good drawing more light towards the light that guides the imperium. From the scant artworks on this monolith of a construct, it seems to be an inverted Cavern of the size of a mountain. Agree with the idea of it being a clean and ordered conduit of the warp, allowing it to pass through the chaos. Good work P.S would like any decent digital artists to attempt creating such a structure from the scant descriptions.

I do plan to mention that in the Gods of Order video and personally I think the Void Dragon because the Akashic Reader was destroyed during the Martian civil war. The Void Dragon may also be a hard sell because the nature of the C’Tan

trazyn mentions that the golden throne and / or astronomicon might be of necron design and in parts of the lore it is alluded that necron and eldari probably worked together at some point and with eldari help i am sure the necrons could have build some warp reactive machine for some reason. also tyranids are descendants of the old ones or the last old one is the hive mind and that the war in heaven ended with eldari, krork an necrons fucking the old ones into extinction since they were not as benevolent as assumed but basically evil genetic engineers fucking with life for the fun of it.

I think celestine is belived to be a greater deamon of the Emperor And i think the old custodes captain general(or some other custodian cant rember) is belived to be the "king in yellow" who is in a pocket dimention making some form of imperium loyal army including deamons(this bit of knowlage is faint on me ive only heard it once) And the legion of the damned is thought to be Emperor deamons aswell...forged from the betrayal at istvan is thr origin ive heard as he 1st unleashed thrm in the war in thr webway
