WNBA star Brittney Griner spoke during her Russian trial on drug charges, explaining that she made an "honest mistake" and had no intent to bring the cannabis oil into the country. Griner apologized to her teammates and basketball organization for the "mistake I made" and said she was sorry to her family and spouse back home for putting them through all of this.

I actually got wrongfully accused in Denver on 2 felonies. Scariest thing in my life. Only people that we’re on my side was my family. After a lot of time and money the chargers were finally dropped. I’m in debt now but there’s one thing everyone can say that was true. I was wrongfully accused and it makes me sick to my stomach people say she’s wrongfully accused cause they have no idea what that even means.

I see a lot of mean spirited closed-minded people on here. I also see a lot of mean-spirited idiots on here too that think possession of a canibus vape pen is the same as "drug trafficking". She had a canibus pen in her luggage. That is NOT a big deal and certainly not something that warrants 9 years of prison. Everyone has a drug of choice (be it alcohol, canibus, food, prescription pills, etc) so let he without sin cast the first stone!
